I sent an email as well, and will rent it. I encourage others to do the same. Equality is spreading, but there is still a long way to go. I sent an e mail too.. For the life of me I don't understand why some people feel It's their duty to tell others how to live or who to love. :( |

It's dark-thirty and I can't sleep, so please excuse this sorta OT post. But, Adam did go see the show. I read reviews which said that Britney mainly lip synched, but her dancing was better than previous tours, tho' not as good as she once was, or as her backing dancers. But it was a great show, well worth the price of admission! I was puzzled. If she didn't sing, and she wasn't a strong dancer, and she barely talked to the audience, WHAT was the appeal of the show? I broke down and viewed a couple of YTs of Britney's concert. I just don't get it! Big Las Vegas style production with impressive staging and enjoyable dancers and costumes. What I would expect if I went to a show in Vegas. But, Britney? Pointless. What does she contribute to the show besides the celebrity? The vocals are the same as the studio versions, and very obviously not live. The dancing is wooden. Mainly waving arms around, walking around the stage, and striking poses. There was no passion. There was no engaging with the audience, none of the reciprocal energy flow that Adam talks about. I think a Britney tribute show would be better. Use her music but cast a strong dancer in the lead, and let her pretend to sing if you want the illusion. Or, find a singer/dancer who can do both well live. When I go to a live show, I want a LIVE performance with life in it. If I was a Britney fan, I might excuse the lack of live vocals in exchange for exciting, snappy, impressive dancing and a feeling of rapport with her appearing live right before me. But, no singing, no compelling dancing, and no personality/interaction? What's the point? What's the appeal? Why bother? I. Don't. Get. It. I think that a lot of people grew up with Britney and they love her,trials ,tribulations and all. Tribute to their youth.. That's all I've got..LOL |
