What were you doing five years ago today? Our boy was singin' the blues. Wondering what the new year would hold. He had quit his job in order to take a long shot at performing on TV in this singing contest. Had to be worried about whether he would be able to pay the rent. This was his last paying gig prior to his audition maybe being aired, right? Taking a HUGE risk for little promise of success. I guess it turned out okay. I LOVE that performance!!! Yes, most likely his last paid gig before Idol - and five years later, he's performing again - this time to a slightly larger audience and no doubt a slightly larger pay check!!! :D |
