Oh, dear... and here on the west coast I've been walking around in a T-shirt all day... sunny skies and doors and windows open.
Here you go, all you poor freezing people!

Windchills! Day-um! I'm not looking to win this contest but it's -35C where I am (that's -31F). I shouldn't complain though, cause it's warming up. Yesterday it was -39C. Time to move to the west coast, bb!

Oh, thank you, Adamrocks! Yes, a good night to stay home......windchill makes it feel like 1degree F!! Wish I had a warm furry coat like someone we all know.... Happy Birthday, my fellow NYer! Yes, it's rather cold out there, and the wind is making it much worse! For those who think Celsius - it feels like -18C.... Hope Adam is all inside and the only trip he has to make is from a door to a car....But, as usually, I am all happy "breathing the same air"! Thanks! OT alert: speaking of Manhattan....I was there last Friday with my daughters to see "Beautiful", a new Broadway show based on life and music of Carol King. If anyone has opportunity to see it, I highly recommend it! If you grew up with the music of the 60's, you will love this production! I knew she and her husband wrote a lot of big hits, but the show is also about another song-writing couple who were also close friends: Cynthia Weill and Barry Mann. Between these two couples, they produced hit after hit for The Shirelles,,The Drifters, Aretha.......and it was a complete shock to me when two guys, one very tall and one on the short side, stepped into the spotlight and started singing "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling", my ALL time favorite song from that period. I didn't know Weill-Mann wrote it! Saw the Righteous Brothers a total of 4 times over the years, the last at Caesars in Atlantic City.......after the show my BFF, who loved them as much as I did, grabbed me by the arm to show me that a Bobby Hatfield, the shorter Brother, was walking thru the concourse towards us, all alone. So of course, we approached him and chatted for a minute and he posed for photos........lovely memory......was devastated when he died... OK...how to bring this back to Adam? Well, I have had this secret wish that I have not shared with anyone until now......I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to hear Adam's interpretation of YLTLF.!! He could sing both parts, high and low, and I know it would be magical......and I would be just a puddle of mush on the floor....... And for an encore? "Unchained Melody" (from "Ghost" with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore). That was a solo performance by Bobby Hatfield and I just get dizzy thinking about Adam singing it and making it his own..... Whoops! Sorry for going off on a long post like that! Must be the fumes from the snow blower! I will finish my pizza and back away from the keyboard, I promise...... ".........You never close your eyes anymore when I kiss your lips......" Swoon........ Carry on#

Warm wishes for all of you who are snowed in! Here in the Netherlands we actually had a record today, the warmest 3rd of January since 1901. It was 13C in the south, and should be anywhere between 0 and 5C. Loads of rain & a bit of a storm though.
This might be the first time that I am aware of that actually I am in a warmer place than Adam is (see! I can be on topic!)
