Sorry for the messed up post. The Everlys were my first love in music and my heart is heavy. I have followed them since the late 50's when I rode my bike to Smith's Home Furnishings in Portland to buy the little 45 of Wake Up Little Susie. Good music never dies. So sad. They were before my time but had some good songs.

If you were a 'Susie' you heard this song....a.lot....and each boy that sang it to you thought he was witty and original..haha....which was infinitely preferable to the greetings you received during the reign of 'A boy named Sue'...sigh...HOW DO YOU DO!!?? I have fond memories of my brother and I on family holidays singing "Dream..." in the back seat all the way from Calgary to the Oregon coast... It is easy to forget how great they were...

What a beautiful message from Brian. The Everlys have millions of fans and in the UK espiciously. No greater honor than inspiring the Beatles..Eagles..Simon & Garfunkel..Beach Boys. They were the songbook of many boomers of my generation and their musical harmonies will be remembered for a very long time.

Thank you for the link to that beautiful tribute! Tears in my eyes, again... It is way before my time, but I loved the Everly Brothers when I was in my teens. Closest thing I have ever gotten to being a fan, before Adam. And Phil always was my favorite.
