I checked weather at JFK, cold and drizzly rain. no snow. I expect Adams flight was just delayed. Hope he is on his way home now.  |

I think that the concert streams and videos are very useful for Adam because they help keep his fans energized and committed. Also I imagine that they bring some casual fans deeper into the fandom, and hence more willing to buy his music and see him live. On the other hand, knowing that a concert will be streamed or on youtube might give a person pause when deciding whether to fly to another city with all the expenses that entails. I don't know how Adam attendance was at Winstar, but I did check out Ticket Master, and in relation to the music concerts around his, he was doing pretty well in sales. The comedian did sell out. I bought 2 tickets within the first fifteen minutes they were available and they were supposedly the best available. I tried for VIP but they claimed they were sold out. At the NYE concert I sat beside two ladies who claimed they bought their tickets through Ticketmaster around the first week of December. Their tickets were closer to the center than mine. How does this crap happen?? My tickets were in A row 20, seats 9 and 10 on the left side of the stage. During GNT almost all of the concerts were sold out the first day. Mega Upload CEO was a feature on 60 minutes and it pointed out how much money has been lost for artists, producers, etc from illegal downloading. How about a discussion of mailing a financial token of our appreciation to any artist we download. There were open seats at the NYE concert and that hurts Adam. |

I think that you must realize that these ticket places and casinos hold back many of the good tickets and only sell them later. Casinos also hold back comp ticket for their high rollers. Also, just because there were some empty seats, that does not mean they weren't sold. Some people just couldn't get there and some people bought better tickets later and may not have been able to sell the old ones. |

OMG. you are right. It really has been almost 5 years. Crazy how much I still love this man. and he just keeps getting better. I can't stop listening to live LMD and Red House. I feel newly consumed by this fresh infusion of the blues AND disco loveliness. Jan 20th, guys! It will also mark the day he is 100% free of 19!! Merchandise rights will finally be all Adam's!! |
