What's the big deal about Adam Lambert?
Actually, Adam has many fine qualities. Adam is intelligent, eloquent, thoughtful, compassionate, generous and, well, you get the idea. He is, also, extraordinarily good looking and sexy as hell.
Most of his fans wouldn't know that about him, though, if they hadn't fallen in love with The Voice*, first.
*NBC stole this title for singing competition program. ;D
Our resident vocal expert, cassie, offered these examples in answer to the question above and for Juneau and Xena's radio program:
A Beginner's Guide to the Best of Adam Lambert
1. Come to Me, Bend to Me –the voice is pure heaven, the technique flawless, the emotion palpable, and the instrumentation sparse so the voice is front and center. 200% proof of the extraordinary voice.
2. Whole Lotta Love Fantasy Springs Concert. Need I say why?
3. Feeling Good – live or studio. Recognized by many vocalists to be one of his best. Shows range, diversity, power, interpretation, technique.
4. Can’t Let You Go — big rock song with insane technique. Don’t know another singer out there who can sing that high and powerfully while singing actual WORDS. The few who can hit those notes do it with an open vowel sound, but can’t articulate lyrics. Also shows range of emotion from beginning to end.
5. My Conviction — for the “Shit! That can’t be Adam Lambert, can it???” factor

6. Ring of Fire — for originality of arrangement, turning a song on its head, blowing our minds and also, again, the technique behind it is extraordinary. Who sings like that? Very difficult to execute.
7. Heaven on their Minds — rated by the rock guys at DDD as his best live performance. This video has the audio turned up.
8. Mad World — Idol live or studio. It’s the one he was most known for on the show, and the one that won him many new fans
9. Soaked — live acoustic. Often cited as having almost operatic vocals. Dynamic range great. Great emotional content.
10. Sleepwalker – Leno, or possibly Brisbane, which many fans consider the best version from his tour. Fierce. Wide range. Great emotional range.
Now on to the business of this thread!

New old pic of Adam (dressed as Freddie Mercury) at Club Makeup Rock and Roll All Stars for Ralph Lauren annual Fall fashion event 2005! Apparently he sang We Are The Champions. About Club Makeup, From 1999 to 2002, Los Angeles hosted what was the modern day Studio 54 called Club Makeup. For three years the line went around the block at Wilshire Blvd’s famous El Rey Theatre. This dance club was fashioned after traditional Glam Rock (T Rex, Bowie, Queen) and showcased a bombastic, shocking live Midnight rock n’ roll show that featured rock stars, drag queens, performance artists and celebrities. Xander Smith was the musical director, played guitar and worked with an impressive list including Linda Perry, Adam Lambert, the Rocky Horror cast, Hedwig, Ice T, Dee Dee Ramone, Dale Bozzio, CC Deville, Pauley Perrette, Orgy, Alice in Chain’s Jerry Cantrell, the Cult’s Ian Asterbury, and many more. Adam's Bio, In 2005 Adam Lambert joined Xander Smith and the Club Makeup Rock and Roll All Stars for Ralph Lauren’s annual Fall fashion event. Pic sauce & Event sauce
