Adam learned a lot from the latest Beyoncé rollout. Is it possible he'll try the same? Few artists are big enough to do what she did. ITA -- only a few artists can do a release like that. I do not think Adam/DMG would do that. He said he was talking to "big producers" on November 12, 2013 -- so it seems unlikely that he has a finished album now. Also, Shoshanna's tweet from today indicated that he was still recording whatever he is recording -- which is likely demo tracks. He could easily have 30 or 40 demos for one album. That is usually the longest part of the process. Even if he does have a whole album done and produced, they will promote it for a while before they release it. My guess is lead single in Spring, album late Summer/Fall 2014. But since Adam is not sharing much/anything this time, all I can to is read tea leaves! ETA: Depending on where Adam ends up, and if they release LMD as a promoted single, I can see LMD promo being used to promote Adam's new album. And I am sure that they will leverage Glee and Queen in the promo plan at least from a PR/story standpoint. But they must have something planned for Adam in late Spring because of that tweet from Shoshanna about the number of Glee episodes being tied to how long it takes them to shot the rest of the season -- it indicated that he had a conflict coming up or a deadline after which he would not be available for Glee.

I don't think the lesson from Beyonce is 'just do a secret roll-out and you will sell 600K albums'. I think the lesson is: If you have a secured market, you can sell without dumping money into all the traditional marketing, promotion and distributor pockets. Of course, Adam operates on a smaller scale than Beyonce. But he does have a secure market, and it got him a BB #1 in 2012. That is nothing to sneeze at. It is promotion beyond that core base that is Adam's challenge and that requires a common vision, and somebody willing to tackle that task with a creative plan and some unconventional ideas. Now Grandduchess, what is in Colorado? Did not catch what you meant. Or are you talking about that stuff they sell in ounces up there these days and that is rumored to help with the ideas department? In that case, I would rather see him continue to travel to NYC, than Colorado, tbh. But maybe I missed your point? My impression is that Adam has found business partners who are on that promised 'forward motion' with him. I think that this is a done deal, and we will hear about it, when the time is right for it. But I think that there is still a few things open on the music side, including some setting of expectations, I believe. Did you notice? Adam promised some music in 2014, he did not respond directly to the album question. That may be part of that creative plan though. The music world does not operate in the same way anymore as it did 20 years ago. I take Adam exactly by his words. There will be new music. Format? That is a different question, and I can only begin to speculate. I leave that for another time. As a first step, I am going to watch with interest what SPW are releasing. Are they still on schedule to release on 1/14/14? Their site says that a set of songs will go on sale on 1/14/14 on i-tunes. They are not talking about an album either. Interesting, now that I think about it. Here is one of the songs that will become available that day. I like it actually: www.youtube.com/user/semipreciousweapons?feature=watch

Wonder if he will have a concert in Colorado? *been watching the newsOOOOO. When?! I am ready and I think I could convince the DH to take me! Great brew pubs and the greenery is gorgeous there! Denver was where I saw my first GNT. So much fun.

I've been pondering about labels and singles and was wondering if perchance Adam is signed to Island Records which is Avicii's label I believe, would that increase the chances of LMD being released as a single since Island would have a lot invested in A3's success and a single on the radio before release could really help?

OTT - - - but a gifted 'whistler' crafts a sound as beautiful as a gifted tenor. To my ears, often even more beautiful . . . as the sound carries the lilt and melancholy of loneliness and solitude. My grandfather was a whistler. Learned his art through many nights spent on the prairie, guarding a sparse cattle herd; surrounded only by darkness. The melodies were entrancing. I would love a song from Adam and a whistler. Truly out-of-the-box, I know. Goodnight!

They also posted a track online on November 25, 2013. I would not be surprised to see Adam do something exactly like this. We have waited really a long time for new music too, I think we should get an advance track online! But even SPW (alt artists) are still playing the radio game. Since Adam is focused on mainstream pop -- he will certainly take one more shot at radio. ** One thing is sure, the promotion of A3 will be >>>>>> than Trespassing! ETA: I think Glee and iHRMF will help Adam with HAC and Pop PDs.

The fan's tweet did not ask about new music. She specifically said "new album?" Adam responded "yes!" Imo, that confirms an album.

Adam Lambert @adamlambert I am living an American Dream. Being an entertainer is owning my own small business. I am so grateful to have earned this right. Michelle @insomniac19 Will not tweet to Adam about his business not being that small. Will not tweet to Adam about his business not being that small.

Q3, thanks for the info on SPW.
your quote:
One thing is sure, the promotion of A3 will be >>>>>> than Trespassing! (1)
I think Glee and iHRMF will help Adam with HAC and Pop PDs. (2)
===> (1) I hope so and (2) I agree.
Here is my thought on the radio game. Yes, I think Adam wants to try it again, especially while having a label that actually supports him. But I also believe that it only makes sense for him to monetarily shoot for that target, when he already has a bit more momentum with a younger crowd. And that momentum has to be created via TV, imo. We see how well Glee is working for him. He will need a few such things to give PDs the impression that there is a new market that is interested. And otherwise, a few of these PDs also need to grow some balls to deal with the usual to-be-expected protest that anyone gets thrown at them when they support somebody gay, in the final attempt of the haters to somehow hold up history. Times are moving forward and with every new year, things will get easier. In conservative radio we may or may not yet be quite there, who knows. But partnering with somebody may be a good way to break into radio. Not sure LMD will be it, but the next song pushed to radio may well be.
Mys*&@^#r: I see what you are saying, but I read it the other way around. 'Yes, with the qualifier that there will be music'. We shall see.
ETA: just saw Adam's latest tweet about being a small business owner. He is building his brand from the ground up. It will get big, when it is time to get big. He knows it. Pioneer indeed. He is going to work on that momentum first, and yes, we will get music. He said so.
