So I had some mashed potatoes on my cell phone (e.g. "Hey Google, what record companies are in New York City" and "Where does Barry Weiss work"). Which led me to Island Records, a.k.a. current label of AVICII, Sam Sparro and Queen, among others... Oh, and look, their logo has a (palm) tree on it!... 
Just speculating, of course. There are a bunch of labels in NYC, but a UMG-owned one would be neat.
