Weather craziness. In the summer we put the air conditioner at 70 and this winter we are setting the heat at 73, 'cause it seems so cold. We had more snow in 2013 than we usually get all winter! It has brightened up around here...but these poor house dogs who have to go outside to go to the bathroom when it is -29. Even if they are wearing little winter coats it is like me standing outside in my longjohns...well not that bad, but you get my drift. That Kimmel vid was hilarious...the reporters grasping at anything that would give credence to bad weather....OMG! Frozen tinkle???  The precursor of the popsicle, doncha know..  And yes, I was one of those kids that stuck my tongue on frozen pipes. |

4Msrmyn...no fair .. there are 17 states farther north than I am, and Michigan is one of them!  ie:kay.. where the heck are you with - 50?!?!? That doesn't even exist on my thermometer? Ikes!!!! We had -32 and in ND where my sis lives, it went down to -50. #frozenpipesforall |

Lots of frozen pipes and furnaces that couldn't keep lit because the wind was so fierce it blew up the exhaust line and kept putting out the pilot lights. Thank goodness for wood heat ..mmmmmmmm The best.  Boy, I hear you..we put in a new woodstove this year and it's a marvel. Less wood, more regulated heat. Talk about timing. And I love watching the fire..it's so cozy when it's not outdoors. |

32 KIDS IN A GRADE 3 CLASS. SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS! Mind you, one year I taught 45 grade 10's in a PE class ...of course that was back in the DARK AGES! Note the "AQUA" sweatshirt!!!  His taste goes beyond random swimsuits. ps I mentioned this morning ...the color wheel still does not work for me, anyone else having a problem? |

Oh wow. So this remix shows to me a few things about Runnin' and why the album Bonus track is my favorite of pretty much all AFL recorded music. You listen to this for 3 minutes and realize there is something missing. The layered vocals. And some of the "industrial sounds" that make it appear ominous, including subtleties like "my heart's beating faster" having a heart beat in the original and all that jazz... And then comes Minute 3:00 and then we suddenly hear ONE of the layers that was never meant to be in the foreground, but man isn't it FANTASTIC? This remix redeems itself after removing half of what is awesome about the original (except for the ONE awesome voice track), and gives us an alternative ending with ANOTHER awesome voice track. So it was still worth listening. I believe this is one of the reasons we might never hear this live (although I still keep on dreaming) - a lot of the impact of the song for me is in the "Dueling Lamberts" going up and down nearly his whole range. And giving me "goosies" in the process... YMMV. |
