You know how some stars become overexposed like Beiber, or Lady Gaga and many people just can't stand hearing or seeing another thing about them? Well that's not our Adam.. He is underexposed and all many of us want is more Adam singing, more Adam in the news,more Adam on TV more Adam concerts,more Adam at award shows... MORE ADAM.. Never enough ADAM.. There is a demand for our guy and it just keeps growing.. That is a rather interesting statement as each are reaping some negative benefits of this overexposure. There are rumors that Bieber is retiring, as he can't seem to stay of trouble. Gaga on the other hand is appealing to her Monsters as her Artpop album is not doing as well. She is complaining of being used and abused by friends and her manager, and requesting more support from her fans. One can assume she is appealing to their pocketbooks. There are even rumors she has cost her label $25 million for this album failure. So not all appears at it seems.
Adam on the other hand has surrounded himself with loyal friends, supported other artists, and has been exemplary in his demeanor, behavior and attitude. I am also hoping for more Adam and that he gets his breakout moment.

All a matter of perspective. And both remain very popular -- and continue to get high ratings in measured media. My votes for overexposed go to Ryan Seacrest and his troop of Kardasians. *** While I would like to believe that the demand for seeing more of Adam keeps growing, there is no data that indicates this is true. In Adam's case, he will need to do some broad-reach, high-profile appearances to remind music buyers and concert goers that he is around, to more beyond his core fanbase. ETA: The $25 million Gaga promotional budget rumor has been flatly denied by all parties involved and the "article" posted online about this rumor was removed. The author has posted several other anti-Gaga pieces that have also been removed. Art Pop sales are lower than expected because the music is not good. Bieber's issues have to do with drugs, alcohol, nasty friends and having way too much money, and having to transition from being a teen star into an adult -- few make it. Neither issue has much to do with overexposure in the media. |

LMAO!! This has been me the past 2 days! I feel stupid when I say it too, but the 40s mornings and nights have had me freezing! Daytime 70, nighttime 40 is a big variance! I know, I know! Just tell me to STFU!!  |

Just tell me to STFU!! lol. I just had to laugh when Shoshanna wrote that she is trying to not have it rain and be cold in LA and here she chooses end of January. Talk about bulls-eye. Is there any month, where it is more likely to rain? I don't think so. In CA's credit, I have to say, when I first moved to the Bay Area and they started to announce a 'storm', like days ahead of its actual arrival and people started 'stocking up' for the storm, I was just slightly credulous. Then when it was here, I was surprised at the amount of mudslides and local flooding and the extent of rain, before it was all said and done. Highway 1 washed out in the usual spots and don't even get me started on driving. They did have reason to warn. Of course, then they kept using the word 'storm' for every raindrop that ever followed, and eventually, it was back to just being a joke. Strange place, California, got to live there to believe it. But Adam does. Hey, I had to bring it back to him, didn't I. |

I was at a fund raiser a year ago here in Calgary, Canada, and spoke with the MC of the event, who is a well known radio personality in our city. (recently changed jobs) DH knows him through business, and I was a guest of the guest speaker, so while pictures were being taken we got onto what I had been doing and of course I shared my London/Adam experience. (until our conversation was interrupted...not giving me a chance to bring up Divas, #1 billboard etc etc.) HIS COMMENT..."oh yah the guy that had a few hits a couple of years ago." And another year has gone by since then. That is what no airplay in this city has done for Adam...off the radar! (During the Trespassing era, airplay was limited to Seacrest doing a one off of his songs.) The only real news re Adam was the Finland Xmas brawl...now that made the press/radio.) Most people/not all, recognize his name and all that, but being off the radar on air for two years, I believe has caused a gap in music relevance for industry people and in turn the general public.
This year Adam's visibility has gone up with the iheart, Glee...would be my guess. Thank Gosh! It has been mentioned a zillion times in the thread... Adam needs radio, and wants radio...he needs a song that resonates equating to a hit/getting decent airplay, with many radio stations. (I was so hoping LMD would be the third off Avicii to jump start the album. I love that song! I am getting less and less sure, as Hey Brother is a slow starter, and WMUp is still the go to Avicii song. Not sure what Avicii's strategy would be.) I am crossing my fingers, as I do think this is the break-out bump year. I do so wish... he does get IN DEMAND!

Just had to post my funniest moment of my Biloxi experience ..I went to venue desk at the Hard Rock to ask how long the concert was on Sunday night and the very nice young lady told me about 90 min and them started to explain who was performing and who he was..I started laughing and had to stop her cause of course I could have talked about Adam forever...

Weather craziness. In the summer we put the air conditioner at 70 and this winter we are setting the heat at 73, 'cause it seems so cold.
We had more snow in 2013 than we usually get all winter! It has brightened up around here...but these poor house dogs who have to go outside to go to the bathroom when it is -29. Even if they are wearing little winter coats it is like me standing outside in my longjohns...well not that bad, but you get my drift.
That Kimmel vid was hilarious...the reporters grasping at anything that would give credence to bad weather....OMG!
