OT...I was at a vintage record store and I was talking with an employee. She had been to Woodstock and was telling me about all the artists, the mud, and the sea of people! She said she was in the long traffic line behind a truck with Jimmy Hendrix sitting in its cab tuning his guitar. She said it got too crazy for her and she left after the first day. Anyway...I brought up Adam and she said she and her daughter loved Adam. Her daughter watched Idol all the time and told her mom watch Adam because he had something very special. She saw Ring Of Fire and agreed! She didn't know about Adam/Queen mini tour...told her to look it up on youtube and that they might be performing again together. It's just nice to be able to talk with a stranger about Adam and they love him like me!  My husband and some friends were in the traffic jam and never got to the concert. *** I hope Adam is on the red carpet tonight! Wish we knew. *** Adam or no Adam, I am interested in the Grammys this year. There are some artists I am rooting for -- but torn by Daft Punk (Nile) being up against Lorde. Can anyone tell me why James Blake is nominated for Best New Artist? Hard to say he had a breakthrough year. I honest never heard of him before the nomination. |

I would be very surprised if Adam missed the Grammys. It's probably a chance to do the red carpet. Plus an opportunity to net work, and meet old and new friends. He uses all opportunities to get his name out there, that's just part of business.

I'm not very "current".
Will watch RC.....in hopes and want to see Nile perform.
My other guilty pleasure, Jack White, is nominated for Best Rock Performance for a bluesy cover of I'm Shakin. He ain't gonna win, but I love his new bluesy, country/bluegrass vibe since he moved to Nashville. There's nothing very "Rock" about this tune and it's a cover. Not sure how Grammys came up with his nominations, except I suppose he's classified as "rock". So, maybe this bodes well for Adam in the future.....recording a bluesy cover ala Red House. IDK
