What a great human being.. grew up to his music and to many of his ideals.A man who never compromised his beliefs. IMHO, Pete Seeger went from being reviled ,ridiculed , not allowed to play his music, to eventually becoming An American folk hero to many. |

What a great human being.. grew up to his music and to many of his ideals.A man who never compromised his beliefs. IMHO, Pete Seeger went from being reviled ,ridiculed , not allowed to play his music, to eventually becoming An American folk hero to many. Yes! to the above. I attended one of the small colleges in the '50's where he appeared several times. He was a true troubadour, and he and his music have left such a lasting impression on me. He is definitely an American folk hero to me - a good man, a brave man, bringing his message and ideals to us with song. RIP, Pete Seeger - the world still needs you! |
