I watched Garth Brooks' show from Las Vegas about a month ago where he previewed the album and sang covers of many of the artists who had influenced him, and explained why. It was very high-energy and he spotlighted those who had, over the years, defied the music industry and labels to fight for their own creativity and musical innovation. Brooks has always been known for his highly personal lyrics and independent way of doing things. He's always incorporated a lot of different influences into his work, and he did mention Queen in the show that I watched. It was the same night Adam was at the Britney Spears thing and I couldn't help but think of the irony, actually. There couldn't be two more different artists in the music business than Britney, who seems little more than a zombie, and Brooks. I saw that. Was just flipping channels and stopped and watched. really good show and I'm not a big country fan. Just like a few artists like Willie, Patsy and Hank, etc. Think I will add Garth! I was lucky enough to have a friend drag me to a Garth Brooks concert -- I was pleasantly surprised. ** My "country artists I love" list is short -- Patsy Kline, Roy Orbitson, Elvis, George Jones, k d lang. Not quite ready to add Garth to that list.  |

Does anyone have a link to the gif of Adam, facing the audience on New Year's Eve. doing a few salsa moves? I couldn't find it in the gif section. Really exciting seeing this coming. What a great achievement! There are only three videos with more views and only one of those is a solo artist. Adam is actually gaining on one of those videos (the group number from the Quarterback) and could move into number three. Top is Rachel's solo on the Quarterback, then Roar. Adam might well move into the #3 spot or stay #4 which is itself an awesome achievement. AND, we have two dynamic duets coming up SOON!!!!!!!!! |
