Adam mention in a very strange place; A Garth Brooks music review! Only a fool or a genius would willingly put himself out there to be compared to Freddie Mercury, let alone singing one of the most difficult songs in the entire Queen catalogue. But once again, Brooks pulls it off, delivering a crazy good performance of 'Somebody to Love' that reveals a jaw-dropping falsetto we've really never heard before, as well as an upper range that he just doesn't get to touch that often in his country work. Watch out, Adam Lambert -- Garth may be fronting Queen next time we see them on tour. theboot.com/garth-brooks-cover-songs-box-set/?trackback=tsmclipUnfortunately I was not able to listen to Garth singing this anywhere on line. He has a very pleasant country voice and I'd love to hear his take on '39' but a country 'Somebody to love'? Love the 'Feeling Good' isolated vocals and the ones posted yesterday!

Unless there is an issue with the Utah State Constitution, sounds perfectly legal. Ridiculous, but legal -- and political. ** I take this as a great sign actually. Even in a very conservative place like Utah, there is political pressure for the state to NOT to spend money go to court to overturn a judicial decision allowing equal marriage.

I am not a huge country fan, but Garth Brooks is a very capable vocalist and a tenor with an excellent falsetto. STL is on his recently released box set. "Garth Brooks' new box set features includes plenty of hits — most of them originally sung by other people. Of the eight discs in Blame It All on My Roots, which went on sale at Walmart on Thursday, four consist of covers — the country superstar's first new studio recordings in six years." "Called Country Classics, Classic Rock, Blue-Eyed Soul and Melting Pot, the discs show the confluence of country, pop, folk and rock that went into shaping the musical style of a man who has sold more albums than anyone besides The Beatles and Elvis Presley. Those discs contain 44 remakes...." Classic Rock (disc) Against the Wind Superstition Sweet Home Alabama Life in the Fast Lane Somebody to Love Bad Company Midnight Rider All Right Now Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me Addicted to Love Goodnight Saigon Link: www.usatoday.com/story/life/music/2013/11/29/garth-brooks-blame-it-all-on-my-roots-10-best-covers/3784845/
