I'm getting more anxious to hear Adam's version Wildest Moments. I keep replaying the snippets we have. I just found this new Pentatonix video this morning and it's making me ache to hear Adam sing. They usually do covers, but I don't know who did this song originally. Anyone know? ETA: just found out that two of the members wrote it. Beautiful. Oh LAWD! That is GORGEOUS. Proof that the voice IS an instrument, and when used properly, nothing else is needed. Thanks for posting! I just commented on YT, maybe you would join???? We are always greatful when we get a mention for Adam, methinks we should pay back for other artists.

How in hell would you cut that cake? Anyone have any idea what it is supposed to be? Looks like a pollen spore to me.

A few weeks back we had a discussion about whether or not Adam could sing opera (not that he ever would, but was he capable, vocally and in terms of technique). I took the question to professional opera singer and coach (and uber-Adam fan) Angelina Kalahari, and she replied with an immediate, confident, resounding "YES!" While Adam does not sing with an opera sound, his techniques, his control, his resonance, all are classical in foundation and more than sufficient to handle the repertoire and genre. Angelina thought that the only thing he would need any significant coaching for would be the foreign languages it is sung in. So when I read this article about an opera singer performing the National Anthem at the Superbowl tomorrow, I kept thinking about Adam. Much of it applies equally to him, IMO. For example, 1. Yes, opera singers can sing louder and higher than what you're used to hearing, and that doesn't make opera suck. Just the opposite actually. Most pop singers have a range of less than an octave -- that's eight notes. Some have a bit more, but pop singers tend to sing in the same range they speak in, while opera singers sing in that range as well as a bunch more notes. Why? Opera has always been written as an art form that is used to showcase the full capacity of what the human voice can accomplish, which means being able to stretch the vocal cords to sing ALL OF THE NOTES without any amplification -- which is why opera singers have to study their craft for years and years before they can work professionally.
If you are interested in reading the entire article, here is the link: www.huffingtonpost.com/jennifer-rivera/5-things--about-opera_b_4690074.htmlI went on tour viewing related links. A commentator for Fox said to expect a longer version of SSB because opera singers like to hear themselves sing. Are you chuckling with me? I posted this a while back when Adam sang SSB. Check out the estimated duration (20 min.). Ha! I'm hoping for a straight-ahead, respectful rendition that is not screaming "Look at me!" Renee Fleming was very gracious at the big Super Bowl press conference a couple days ago when a reporter asked how it felt to be singing this terribly difficult song. (That made me gag a bit.) The reporter must not have a clue what she routinely sings during an opera--which is way harder than SSB.
