Starchild/Elliott Gilbert will be returning to Glee in Episode 14 on April 1, 2013 (after a 3 episode break while the action concentrated on Lima).

With Episode 14, “New New York” the storyline will move permanently to New York City for the rest of season 5.

There isn’t much info about the first full New York episode, but we did get a song spoiler, Elliott (Adam Lambert) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) will duet on A Great Big World’s “Rockstar”!

Now, before you make a judgment about this song based on the original neo-bubblegum version (oh, I mean super cool indie pop), check out the lyrics and listen to the melody. No, it is not deep but I think Adam and Chris can take this pop confection and really turn it into something fun and listenable. And the song works well as a harmonic duet – so I expect a nice arrangement.

Do you doubt Adam’s ability to spin gold out of a not so great song? Think about these lyrics, and what he did with them.

Rising stars A Great Big World visits the On Air with Ryan Seacrest studio to perform their original song "Rockstar."

“Rockstar” is a track from A Great Big World’s indie pop debut album, Is There Anybody Out There? [released 21 January 2014. #3 Billboard 200 US]. In a weird coincidence, Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino formed A Great Big World while they were attending The Steinhardt Music Program at New York University. Yes, they attended the same university as Elliott Gilbert!!

Cowboy Adam?

doll series -- Cowboy Adam. Well, I have to say, I don't love the stubble look but hopefully Adam never grows a handlebar mustache like this.

I love the idea of Adam paper dolls but these just did not seem to capture the essence of Adam-ness for me.
