Happy Valentine's Day!
The red heart is a cross section of a very tiny blood vessel and the violet areas are blood cells. The picture was photographed with a transmission electron microscope (Raija Sormunen) and processed and colored with Photoshop (Raija Peura/RPeura). Electron microscope givs black and white pictures.
