LOL I was going to get all obnoxious and brag about our awesome weather and we get a wind warning....my little island could end up blowing into the Gulf of Alaska and I could be laughing out the other side of my mouth!! BTW...I would love to also make claims on behalf of Canadian politeness but I just read some comments under the Globe and Mail's article on Ellen Paige's coming out speech and frankly, I am embarrassed and shamed!! They may not be quite as rude as some yahoo blogs but the sentiments are just as despicable. That will teach me to get uppity....sigh Remember that the comments could come from anywhere around the world. And rude people are everywhere.

Fan "betterness" is infectious and we don't need it ...as usual, scroll if you don't like my comments and it is all JMHO Yeah I usually agree and stick out of fandom wars it just kind of baffles me how some people lack basic respect for someone they stan daily. Like how does that even work?? But I digress bring on Frenemies

Since it is slow today and since this somehow relates to Adam wrt a full concert with vocals up front and no lip synching, I am pasting this from the Rolling Stones Review 8 Most Outrageous Moments of Miley Cyrus' 'Bangerz' Show 8. Perhaps the evening's most shocking element of all. . . was the fact that there really wasn't anything jaw-droppingly shocking about the entire night. Cyrus had said in interviews leading up to this tour that she wanted people to go to the show and take her seriously as a vocalist, and it appears that she meant it. Without question, she proved that talent beyond any doubt: unlike many stadium shows, there was no vocal "doubling" (singing along to a track of oneself), and she was only mildly supported by her background vocalists. In fact, Miley's music was front and center for much of the night, and from beginning to end – roughly 100 minutes long – she nailed her vocals throughout the entertaining evening. With barely a twerk to be found, the singer's intended emphasis on her music seems legit; her approach may very well shift some of the attention back on her talents, and away from her infamous tongue. This was late 2012! Basically the singles and album had all been done and done by then. I think by Oct. 2012 both he and DMG were already working (in their minds) on their RCA escape! Remember, absolutely no label support for the release of Trespassing as a single. Not even a radio adds date. I will always admire Adam for how perfectly he managed to cope with all the difficulties with Trespassing and the lack of support of his label. Goot thing he and his management found the way how to get rid off RCA and hopefully the next label will be more supportive. *fingers crossed* Adam is a very smart man. I would imagine he knew or had an inkling of how he was going to handle RCA. But in the meantime he was one big ole networker with the radio stations. I don't think the man knows how to burn a bridge. With the help of a brilliant pr team he is so poised, imho, to take over the world! Enough press releases calling Adam everything from the savior of the music world to powerhouse icon and it will get repeated as truth (which in his case it is!) I'm not convinced that radio will play a long term influence , but perhaps right at this moment in time, yes. Perhaps it is my age (be very afraid of the old) but one thing I have learned is nothing stays the same! Thank you Universe! Or I would have a black phone on a special table in the hall with a party line and I would be playing 45's on a turntable without surround sound. And OMG rock and roll will be the end of civilization!! I also, with the help of Cassie, have figured out why Adam's music affects me so much. I have liked other singers for the uniqueness of their voice, the type of music they sang but never a music type that I didn't care for much to begin with. The ONLY other singer I was even vaguely a stan of was Luciano Pavarotti, not just tenors in general. The classic tone of Adam as explained by Cassie, is the clincher with Adam's music. Even his poppist of pop is goose bumpy to me. (how is that for a masterclass explanation! )

Repeating because you may have missed my edit on the previous page. Adam has done some fascinating interviews. We are trying to archive them in one place. Please check it out, and if your favorite interview is not there, add it for us. Thanks. adamtopia.com/thread/1221/favorite-interviews Thanks for the link cassie, I've been down the rabbit hole all afternoon in between trying to do some housework. By the looks of it housework is losing.

This is not about being bad or good fan but about being plain rude to someone you say that you respect but you really don't if you crossing boundaries that you shouldn't cross.

It has been snowing ALL day here! And as an inhabitant of the other island in NYC, you know what the main problem is: we are running out of places to pile the snow we are clearing from our cars, driveways, sidewalks.......groan....... OK, back to Adam.......sooooo impatient for Idol and Glee! I haven't watched Idol since.....you know.....but I will be setting the DVR for his appearances!

I found it interesting that he talked about how much he loved Trespassing because it's different, you don't hear anything like it on the radio, etc.......and it "terrified the record company"!! He knew even back in 2012 that he wasn't getting the support needed to get his music on the radio. Must have been a sad, disappointing time for him....so glad that is in the past and we have all this exciting new stuff coming down the road..... This was late 2012! Basically the singles and album had all been done and done by then. I think by Oct. 2012 both he and DMG were already working (in their minds) on their RCA escape! Remember, absolutely no label support for the release of Trespassing as a single. Not even a radio adds date. I've had this little theory about Trespassing the single, that is probably not true but is implanted in a corner of my brain and needs to be purged. I think that the OK to release another single came at the time when the Idol judgeship looked like a pretty sure thing. If he had gotten that high exposure spot, the single would have had a good chance, and hence RCA would have supported it. When that huge platform didn't materialize, RCA decided not to support the new single without it.
