Don't throw stones..I felt the chorus was overproduced and I couldn't hear Adam and Chris as well. Adam drove that song, for sure. That last wail..OMG..it's sure to be a fun scene with the pole dancing and everybody rockin' out. Other than my little beef, I quite enjoyed the song. Any opportunity to hear Adam sing. Yessah..he and Chris both sounded great and I'm glad they lowered the key as well. Good deal...

I think Kurt said they could "second-act Pippin," meaning sneak in during intermission between the first two acts. I think I heard someone say that is what it means to "second act" something.
Oh, and I Believe In A Thing Called Love is amazing!!!!

Holst, by "welly" I meant enthusiastic, strong effort - like a kick from a boot ("wellie" might be the real spelling). (Len uses the phrase on Dancing with the Stars a lot.) I love that Kurt gets to be a little crazy in this song instead of longing, loving, and plaintive. Thanks. I thought it might be from the other side of the pond.

YES! I call it his "Idol endings." When he was on and did NCOE, Eber even tweeted about it! LOL!

I will try to translate my interpretation of this joke. I may not be right. 1. Only someone who has seen Pippin many times would show up for the second act and skip the first act. 2. They are referring to "Pippin" the Off Broadway show. The new revival is a cirque-noir version of Pippin. Very "gay". It has circus acrobatics and magical illusions plus all the stuff from the original musical. 3. Pippin is the stereotypical "gay" musical. Here is an example from the movie "Bring It On" youtu.be/swCJFVyXBNYThanks. Hmmmm. I happen to really like "Pippin." Saw the Broadway touring production way back when and was wowed. Also saw a filmed version somewhere. Ben Vereen was sublime in that part. As far as taking in the second act, yeah, the thing is confusing enough if you see the whole thing, so, I guess the crack could mean "we are sooo gay that we have seen any musical so often we can quote it line by line, so we can just take in the second act." Never thought that "Pippin" was particularly gaaaaaaaaayyy. Or was cirque de sole. But, my gaydar doesn't always work. As to Bob Fosse, I love his choreography and staging. That's gay, too? Huh. I lead a sheltered life after all. Showing up for the second act might mean getting in free, something college students like. No one is checking tickets after intermission. ETA: I see Bullsfan has already mentioned this.
