A little OT, but Glee related: just read Rolling Stone's review of Lea Michele's album......gave it 1.5 out of 5......that's gotta hurt......but what struck me was the critic's comment that her "show-tune-style belting is a little too perfect for today's pop charts". Hhmmmmmmm........so if you have a strong clear voice, and people can understand what you are singing....you're too perfect? And therefore not good enough for radio/pop charts?

Ditto cassie. I posted a video of I'm A Woman above and info about some of the stars she sang backup for. That was the first Idol season I watched. I was devastated when she did not win. I should have known then!! Simon loved her. He called her "my girl". Maybe that too was the kiss of death!! I loved her, too. She is amazingly good singer, same level as Adam. And she didn't win (sad smiley). |
