Ok, I have a bit of a dream going on in my mind here, so will share it. I know it's not going to happen, but a girl can dream, right? LOL!

We have a new arena here in Lincoln. It's called the Pinnacle Bank Arena, and it holds over 15,000. It looks beautiful, although I've never been in it. My son says there is NO bad seat there.

So, back to my dream. If only...after all, I am in the center of the US, you know. So, if Queen & Adam were to come here, I would get to see them. This is the only way that would happen for me, so I am going to dream until I know where they will be.

This new arena just opened last year, and so far they have had P!

nk, Elton John, Bon Jovi, Eagles, and various other acts, including a bunch of country ones that I don't remember..of course...lol! This year, so far, they have Cher + Cyndi Lauper & James Taylor scheduled. There could be more, but I haven't followed that closely.

I know it's a silly dream, but it's the only one I have...LOL! So, I will continue to dream until .... well, until I can't.

From the pictures I've seen, it's a beautiful arena. I see it everytime I go to my son's house from the outside. Lincoln is a city with a small town vibe. AdamRocks...it would be close enough for you to come!!

Old tune....Wishin' & Hopin'....... what else can a girl do? I've saved enough for a ticket, but no way I can afford air fare + hotel fees.

So, I'll just keep on dreaming, for a few days, anyway. Still thrilled for all who will get to see Queen + Adam. I'm sure it will be the concert of a lifetime!!

Queen in the UK has achieved a level of success that is unprecedented -- 1 in 3 UK households owns Queen's Greatest Hits.
There is no band or artist who has ever approached that. It is an astounding achievement.

Sometimes I think there is confusion when people compare Queen in the US to Queen in the UK. They never achieved the absolute level of success in recorded music sales or concert ticket sales here they have in the UK, and it was not sustained for decades here as it was int eh UK, but "everyone" in the US knows their big hits and several of their songs are part of American culture.

I will quibble about the start date for Queen in the US. They played theaters in the US In 1974-1975. They played the Tower Theater in Upper Darby in 1975 (Night at the Opera Tour) which was their biggest market (Philadelphia) at the time. Their first US "arena" tour was the 1977 News of the World Tour. Their last US Tour (excluding the Q+PR tour) was in 1982. So I put them at 1977-1982 for being big in the US. Their "only" #1 US studio album was in 1980.(They have another US #1 in 1995 but that was a "memorial" album Made in Heaven released 4 years after Freddie died.) Their first #1 US single was in 1979. Their second #1 US single was in 1980.
