Pharrell Williams believes that he began "flirting" with his current sound when he worked with Adam Lambert a few years ago. The US superstar teamed up with the vocal powerhouse to co-write and produce the 2012 song 'Trespassing', which featured Lambert's album of the same name. Williams has since shot to global fame by collaborating on the likes of Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' and he has seemingly taken that sound into his new solo album 'G I R L'. What Adam brings to the mix raises the bar so that they do their best to give their best, and they do. What distinguishes Adam's parts is something that is so beautiful in tone, maturity, resonance, and control--the product of years of training and practice, and a certain 'je ne sais quoi" that must have been God-given. Demi and Lea both have beautiful voices, and must be commended too, but the masculine grit that rock demands in the rock songs is clearly an Adam standout. However, he knows enough to step back to harmonize, but to energize and embellish as he sees fit, the mark of an artist who has a strong ego, but is not an egotist.

(Hi, Betty....  )We have seen Adam in a few outfits for this Glee episode....i.e. the brown hat, the beanie, the tux.....do we know what he'll be wearing for Barracuda or how it will be staged? i hope he looks more fierce than cute! Based on the preview I'm betting that it will be in the outfit we see him in when he opens the door to Rachael. That's when she comes over to complain, it' when it would make sense. I have a theory on Adam's gloved hands, it could be two times eight (because since when has Adam needed two hands to hold on to a plastic beer glass?) and is a confirmation of the number of QAL dates. Thanks, Jablea - I like that look....good mix of grown-up, sexy and current. I know I'm missing something but why would Adam' s two hands mean 2 x 8? How many fingers has the boy got? Edit : duh! I had another look at pics.... 2 fingers in one and 8 fingers in the other. I get there eventually.... |

Here is the first appearance of these gloves (VH1 Divas Special 12/16/2012): I'm sorry, but Adam had those gloves before Divas (on Guerilla gig in Melbourne, August, 26, 2012)  I think he bought them in Japan a few days before the gig (and he went from Japan to Australia and Melbourne) |

Given Adam's relationship to numbers, I find it rather doubtful, that Adam would give us such a type of clue.  I think that both Shosh and Adam simply meant that there were two more episodes to go on Glee. They are just trying to set expectations. Given that Adam is so popular on that show, his exodus is going to be perceived as 'bad' news by many Glee fans (and even by some Glamberts, probably, lol, who should actually know better). So they want to preempt that, make people aware of that before the episode airs. Not sure, it will work, but I think that is what they are trying. Just imo, as always. |

At the end of yesterday's thread there was some discussion of Idina Menzels performance of Let It Go on Jimmy Fallon.
Idina is a Broadway veteran and I assume a trained singer but she did not sound good, on either the Oscars or with Roots. Maybe she was trying not to lapse into hysterics after hearing John Travolta introduce her as Adele Nazeem.
Anyway, getting back to the subject - Fallon gets a lot of big musical guests and is fiming in NYC. Dare we hope for a Queen+AL performance if they kick off the tour at MSG? Can you imagine Adam doing Another One Bites the Dust with the Roots on preschool instruments?!
