Talon, I would agree with you on "No matter what Brian says in the vids about being adventurous, I would bet it will still be fairly close to the 2012 set with some tweaks and perhaps order changes." EXCEPT....

1. There was something different about Vegas -- not the setlist but the way it felt and I think they really could do something different.

2. Brian seems to want to do something new, dangerous. These are the guys who were written off as done and blew away everyone at Live Aid. They did the same thing last year in Vegas. Roger came up with the idea for a big, new set -- he has not said much about being new and different, but I think he is in the same mindset.

3. I have followed Adam for a long time. He seems to change things without disruption -- with his "wouldn't it be cool if....attitude".
We saw it on Idol. We just saw it again on Glee. Since Glee is has been so static, it was easy to see the changes -- he got them to change his songs and he did Heart (Barracuda - confirmed his idea), and "Marry the Night" and "I Believe in a Thing Called Love". (90% sure these were Adam's idea but not confirmed), he was involved in the creation of the character, the costume (some items from his closet), the choreography, etc. No Glee guest star ever was this involved in the creative process.

They have to do the BIG HITS. They have to do the FAN FAVS. There are Queen fan expectations and Adam fan expectations that they will make sure to include. But I am betting on some interesting new stuff -- including a few changes to the arrangements of some old favs.

There will be about 25 songs....plus a few snippets of fan favs that do not fit or that make cool arrangement. Like Dragon Attack+Son and Daughter. I left out those little snippets.

Will they open with a big instrumental number and lots of effects? My guess. But they started Vegas with the keypoard/piano part of BoRhap and "Mama". I am hoping for "Mama".... 

I put numbers on my 30 predictions -- 25 songs (4 or 5 of them edited, short versions) 5 instrumentals, they are not in set order.

THE MOST LIKELY ADDITION
1. Killer Queen (This song is screaming for Adam to sing it, was their break though hit in the US.)

The song they SHOULD DO WITH ADAM that they won't do. I will put it on my list anyway.

2. Body Language -- was #11 in the US in 1981 without much/any label support here!!! That is in the pre-Soundscan era so radio!
IF THEY DO NOT DO THIS, IT WILL BE BECAUSE I DO NOT KNOW IF ADAM KNOWS THIS SONG. HOPE HE LISTENS TO IT.
Queen has never done this live. It would need to be rearranged for 2014 and for live performance. They should rerecord this with Adam and release it as a single. (at the end of this long post).

Body Language because this song has just been forgotten (this is the video that was banned by MTV in 1982, first video banned from US TV, US radio loved this song!!)

It is a dance-funk track that was way ahead of its time and shows what a genius Freddie was. It has dated instrumentation. Queen rock fans hated it. UK fans hated it. Rolling Stone panned it (duh! it was a dance track). The label did not support it with promo $. And it still got radio airplay. 

In the US it was #11 on the Main Hot 100 chart and #30 on the Soul chart (R&B today) -- that was the radio only chart.

You know yesterday, there was a bit of a question about whether to respond to negative comments on other sites about Adam being selected to do this. Or even Queen touring at all without Freddie.  I think that Brian just said it all. Just don't go. Many people want to hear them preform with Adam.

Just leaves more tickets for ME!! 

OMG - a good friend of mine living in Salt Lake City just posted on facebook that she is going to QAL in Vegas! I wrote her that I would love to go too and she said, then why the heck aren't you coming????
I wanna go so badly.... I am checking flights now for the last 2 hours but they are so expensive.
But it is so tempting.... should I go? Should I just ignore my bank balance and be crazy?
