mirages! you welcome, sweetheart! I'm glad you like it. This shirt is really cool, I always liked it... How'd you know that's my fave pic of Adam? That one, and the one where he appears to be juggling the sun.

Well the material is up his alley but it is usually a pretty long set with some tough songs. And there's a difference trying to connect/reach/front a band for 2,000-3,000 vs 350,000 (or even 20,000) The sets are also much bigger and therefore more physically demanding. The press tends to be bigger and tougher on these tours. AND you have a fanbase that has to be won over. So I definitely didn't see it as Paul questioning Adam's singing. It was more just saying it is a tough gig for the vocal chords and for physical conditioning in general as well as mentally.
Let me ask you have QPR performed in front of 350,000 or even 20,0000 people on their tour?

All in all, I think not being "the winner" of Idol has worked out to Adam's benefit.

Come on guys. Has anyone ever bought ticketmaster tickets at Walmart? Nope. Nearest one is an hour away. I think they still have a box office selling concert tix at my local university, but haven't bought one there since I was an undergrad.

Just, saw on twitter Longineu Parsons left Yellowcard Oooh, that's a blast from the past. Yipes. It seems that reunion didn't go so well. I'll be honest though, Longineu wasn't my favorite drummer (Isaac is). He was technically great, but to me he just looked...bored...a lot of the time. YMMV.

If you're talking about "a tough gig for the vocal chords" I think all the songs from FYE that Adam sang during GNT are right up there with Queen songs. They're challenging songs for the vocal cord. That's why they have to lower the notes a bit.. but Adam being Adam.. he was still belting it out quite often during GNT. Let me ask you have QPR performed in front of 350,000 or even 20,0000 people on their tour?
Yes I agree that some of the FYE stuff is up there as far as vocally challenging, but I feel Queen's hopping from genre to genre from soft power ballad to near heavy metal is more strenuous. Not just the notes, but the sliding from style to style. Just my opinion. and for the second question, Yes, QPR actually did Kiev a few years before QAL did. QPR did it in 2008 in the exact same square and was released on DVD/CD in 2009 And that was 350,000 as well and that was without the added benefit of having Elton John on the bill as well! And yes they did tours of Japan (some gigs @ 25,000) , South America (Buenos Aires was 45,000) and other venues. So while many venues were at the 10-15,000 range some regularly popped over those numbers. Queen Concertsis a great place to learn about audience, etc. from any Queen or related gig

Q3 - I thought that Mohegan Sun Arena might be hard because it's a casino, but it was the ONLY venue I could pull up Ultimate VIP for - got first row. Every other one my friend and I tried, best we could do was Diamond.
I feel doubtful there will be any VIP at the regular sale. These did not require any sort of password to get them - so I think they were available to anyone on Monday.
I was disappointed because I thought they would require a Will Call for these, but TM did not require that, let me print out my front row tix - so easy to post on reseller sights that way :(.
ETA: The VIP thru Ticketfly for the DC area show DOES require Will Call, which doesn't even make sense because it's GA.

I think we have to remember that the comments Paul made wondering if Adam was ready for this gig were made 2 years ago before the first group of Queen concerts. Even Adam admitted that being in front of such a large crowd the first night was daunting. I think Adam has since proved to himself and everyone else that he is up for a major Queen tour. I bet Paul would not question his readiness now.

This is a big time showcase!
