Q3 - Just for the record, I'd love to see Paul come back for that one night and jam with QAL. I mean I feel Queen fans owe him a debt since his singing was able to get the Queen engine rolling again for four years! The QPR show I went to was the best show I'd ever seen! And I think he gets too much flak at times. He did a good job with some great moments during the gigs...and I LOVED hearing Brian and Roger's work to beef up some of the Bad Company tracks like Feel Like Makin' Love. BUT I don't think it will happen. Fun to speculate about. There was a recent interview with Paul (posted on Brian's site) where he talked about his time with Queen and he made it clear that his time there had come to an end and though he had in the past made comments that he may do it again, I don't think he'd do it now. He did say he was happy to see the big Queen machine rolling again. Come on Talon.. Some folks are confused with Adam as lead singer.. IMHO JUST NO to Paul.,he had his time with Queen, This time belongs to Adam Lambert..Hugs anyway...

Well I was just responding to Q3's statement in the opening post :D AND like I said, I doubt it would happen. I was just saying it would be a nice unique moment on tour.

Regarding the question of when Brian and Roger first expressed a desire to work with Adam. I swear there was an interview where Roger mentioned Adam, using the wrong name - maybe Kris Lambert or Adam Allen? I think it was a BBC interview, but I'm not sure. I think I might have even been the first person to post it (a first and last for me - lol). I found this article from 11/09 that could be quoting from the interview, but with all the great archivists here I'm sure someone has a youtube of the interview. Queen stars Brian May and Roger Taylor are refusing to reveal who they want as their new frontman - but "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert remains a favorite.
Fans have been keen for the classic rockers to name a successor to Paul Rodgers ever since the Free star quit the group earlier this year, and it's not exactly a secret the Queen stars are fond of Lambert after playing with him during the talent show's glitzy finale in May.
May previously said, "Roger and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with him at some point. It's not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn't that easy. But I'd certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there."
And, in a recent BBC interview, Taylor confessed he was a fan of the pop star: "We did play in the finale of 'American Idol' with the two final guys, one of whom is... Adam INSERT WRONG LAST NAME HERE. He didn't actually win... but he is one of the most phenomenal singers, and I think at some point in the future we'd love to do something with him.
"He is phenomenally talented. He has one of the greatest voices I've ever heard."
