LOL Gaga did her "ARTPOP" album based on the Goddess "Venus" , is Adam gonna base his new album on Dionysus ?? Can he be naked please with just a grapevine leaf on his crotch ? No ? ok ... A grape leaf wouldn't be big enough. Our guy needs a palm frond! I know it's not big enough . . . . . . . .I said that on purpose *ahem* |

HI GUYS !! Sorry this is OT but Adam tweeted about Dionysus and I googled him and went into wikipedia and I JUST learned that the city I live in "As-Suwaida" Was originally named "Dionysias" . Reading today's thread raised this question in my mind: Would the tour continue to be promoted if it is sold out? For instance MSG is "sold out" - does it mean the NY Metro area promo is not going to happen any more? It makes sense to stop as there is no "payback" to be had, but from my POV- the one where Adam's visibility is the ultimate goal - the sell out becomes a double edge sword... What do you think? Interesting question. I don't know. Are those lovely marquees we saw going to stay there? That'd be good:) Also, if they keep rereleasing tickets, the buzz will still be there. There's always twitter:) Plus, they will start rehearsing eventually, and there was some really nice footage of that from their European concerts. I'm sure Adam's management will think of something.
Of course, if Mys*&@^#r's lovely words come to fruition, he's going to be busy with his single. And I remember someone here speculating about some other possibilities along that vein, like LMD release, or another surprise engagement for Adam...

Queen is in the US and Canada. Doing promo for the single would be easy. And since most of the venues will soon be sold out, huge promo for Queen is not necessary. If there is no Spring single, then there will be no single on radio for summer. I picture Adam's first single being Pop/Rock/Dancey. A true summer single. It takes a good 3 months for a single to make its way up US radio. I have no idea when or if a single is ready. But not capitalizing on the Glee and Queen buzz just seems stoopid to me. I think you may be right! If you're right about it taking a good 3 months for a single to make its way up US radio, then Adam's single, if released in autumn, would bump into that silly hiatus which happened during BTIKM release, no? I really, really want/need everything to be perfect for the release of this single. Hey Brother just got out of the 20s and into the teens a few weeks ago. It was released in October here! And this is the 2nd single from the guy that had a #1 in 5 formats in 2013!!  US radio is tough! |

Don't many/most artists do a full album's worth of songs and then select a single, rather than having a song they think would be a good single and getting it out there, and then try to rush and finish the album? In Pop? Nowadays, rarely! For example, I would be willing to bed that "Roar" was always going to be the first single off of Katy's new album. Would not have mattered what else was on the album. That was it. And like I said, first singles are sent digitally to radio, iTunes, Amazon, etc, so it is an easy release. Singles can have a lead on the album of anywhere from 2-4 months, depending on the artists. So there would be no rush to finish the album |

Just a comment about Dionysus -- God of Wine! And ritual madness and ecstasy! He is also the Roman God Bacchus. I kind of like the implications of that tweet!

Regarding Adam's single -- could be released any time from now to the Fall. I will wait for more info.
But if they do decide to release it after the Queen Tour, I am confident it will be for Adam's best interest and not because someone at his label wants him to record something "safe". (BTIKM, NCOE = safe, but not Adam).
