It will be very tight. The first QAL concert will be on June 19 .. They did 10days rehearsal for the 6 concerts in 2012. I will think Queen and Adam will start their rehearsal on June 1 thru June 13. And will have few days break the week of June 19, because Queen will start packing equipment and send them to Chicago.
I wonder if they will do the rehearsal in LA or in UK. If they will do it in LA, it means they will have to do the packing twice before the concerts.. LOL
I am thinking the rehearsals will be in the UK. that's where everyone but Adam lives, and Adam is never home anyway. It makes no sense to ship equipment to LA and then Chicago. Adam could get away to do the Milwaukee pride for a day or two, but I am doubtful he would interrupt the rehearsal/preparation process with Queen.
I'm doubtful as well... I will think it will take too much of his energy flying to LA (11-12hr) and then fly back to UK (Another 11hr) in one week end just for a 1-2hrs show. And then he will have to do another week of rehearsal singing Queen catalogues.

He flew back to San Francisco to perform a radio concert on 6/24 right before the Queen shows in Europe didn't he? So I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility for him to fly back in to do a Pride show.

The link below gives the headliner list for the Milwaukee Pride event. Mary Lambert is one of the headliners. I think someone's friend got Adam Lambert and Mary Lambert mixed up. Poor guy - get mixed up with other performers based on both his first name and his last name!

They will almost certainly rehearse in the UK. *** Milwaukee Pridefest is a huge event. It is June 6,7 and 8. They have some major acts announced so far..... It would be possible for Adam to go to London for rehearsal and fly back for Milwaukee Pridefest, then return for a week of rehearsals before the Chicago concert. If he does a pride event this year, seems like this is the most likely one. In the grand scope of expenses both the QAL Tour or Mil. Pridefest, a round trip ticket from London is a small expense. When they rehearsed for the 2012 concerts, the band did some rehearsals without Adam. I imagine that would happen again. That is also what they did with Freddie -- had band rehearsals without Freddie. Pretty typical for bands. ETA: Just read Dancy's comment about Lambert confusion. Could be. Too bad because a Lambert-Lambert duet would be awesome! |
