Belle, you are pretty much saying the same thing. Thanks for confirming, though. I agree, that it is pretty farfetched that Adam would have used a Bible quote to make a point, but it is kind of eery that he would send the same message twice in the row, once in California kid, born 1982 speech and once the biblical one.
Maybe he is actually going for broke in Stockholm, in some way. Could be as simple a meaning as, the alcohol in Sweden is expensive, and therefore he is going for broke with every drink.
Or it could mean something as deep and heavy, as he his putting all his eggs in this A3 basket. ??? Your pick.
Given that I don't know, which one it is, I am not going to panic, but rather smile at Adam's ability to provide entertainment as well as head scratching (in a good way) for 5 straight years in a row. Never in my life did I think I would encounter a pop singer who would be able to do that.
Always something new to think or read or chat about.
Otherwise, given that Augenposie did the history homework for me already - thanks - I have one other question.
Referring back to Q3's article on yesterday's page 1, do you think that Adam could have been invited to work as top-liner at these Swedish studios, with the idea, that if he comes up with some songs that are right for him, he can keep them, otherwise, he gets the songwriting participation?
Do you think this is possible?
Re-reading that article one more time yesterday, I thought that Adam could perfectly do what this 'Dean' does in the article, except that I don't see him as a hook writer, but the whole rest, Adam could do in a heart beat.
Adam loves to kill two birds with one stone. And if there is one thing that he has typically received flack from in the online media and comments sections, and especially from all the nay-Sayers, is that he 'supposedly' is not a song writer, therefore not a real musician. I think that Adam would love to thump his nose at these nay-Sayers, I could totally see him doing that. That is, if he was invited to do so.
He would come out of this with a bunch of songs for himself, but probably also a few that would go to other people.
Obviously, this suggestion, if true, sure would be the opposite of going broke. It would be an expansion of his career, with significant revenue stream opportunities, assuming he is successful at it.
The reason, I think it could have happened, is because I think that Nile and Avicii, when writing the additional songs with him, must have noticed that Adam has the ability to do this.
Just a thought.
ETA: Belle, just read your post right above mine. TY
Bible translation aspects that you mention are great point. Did not even think of the fact that folks further norht only had the Latin or German version to work from for such a long time. Thanks for that insight.
