Kittykay, having been in my prime during the Glam Rock era, I wasn't convinced he was gay until the kissing Brad pics came out! So you are not alon! During my many years, I've known, worked with, been close friends with, and kept the secret for some very special gay friends. But never in a million years did I believe Adam was gay. When I asked my friend, he just looked at me and said, "DUH!" And my heart broke. Not because he's gay but for all the he would have to face from the little minds in this world. But I needn't have worried because he just rose above it and has helped so many others do the same. One very, very special man. ILHSM

I thought he's straight too... even though.. something keeps on nagging in the back of my mind. The same thing happened decades ago when I watched Freddie on Queen videos.
When Adam was doing one of the background intros to his song he said a few words in an accent I knew as West Hollywood and I figured he was gay. My thought, I will have to vote more! I voted extra hard at the finale for that reason as well. Two acquaintances (both College Professors) approached me at a High School track meet telling everyone in our group to vote for the Christian guy on Idol. They couldn't remember the guys name or had even watched the season. The minister from their church had instructed the congregation to get the word out. We could not have a Gay Man representing us as American Idol. ETA: Adam made the right decision not to confirm or deny the gay rumours. He would have been voted off before he had the opportunity to win America over. I am still furious that EW did a hole cover story on "Gay Idol" weeks before the final. It was no different than Perez publicly outing people. Adam didn't hide who he was. He had the most attractive family section in Idol history.

Kittykay, having been in my prime during the Glam Rock era, I wasn't convinced he was gay until the kissing Brad pics came out! So you are not alone! In the producers and judges pretty much said it -- but they used the word "theatrical". I did not really notice it at the time. Randy: “I think America is ready for someone like you” Simon: "I think you're --- theatrical" Kara: “Theatrical, yes, but can he sing?" But my mind was numb from hearing Adam sing and I did not notice much else. ** Paula got it on the first interview: “He’s the best we’ve seen in every city.” ** One of my favorite comments had was after Adam sang his last competition song, "No Boundaries". “The whole idea about doing a show like this is to find a worldwide star. I genuinely believe, with all my heart that we have found that in you.” Simon I think that the QAL tour + A3 will actually make Adam a worldwide superstar. JMHO but I can feel it happening. I can indeed.

Adam Lambert singing Rockstar snippet Glee New NY w GIFS & Pics of Kurt & Elliott By Lilybop Published on Mar 29, 2014 Damn, the boy can sing anything. This snippet makes the song seem so whimsical and light. It's a fairy tale. Can't wait for the rest.

General sale update -- all 5 concerts are selling well. Ultimate seats are gone everywhere (gone on day 1 of the pre-sale.) There are Diamond seats for all 5, North Jersey has the fewest left. Boston - no map - selling at a moderate rate - appears to be selling slightly faster than the Wells Fargo Center concert in Philadelphia. North Jersey - sold deeply. The Diamond seats are almost gone here. Looks like it will sell out. Atlantic City - there is a map -- looks like they are holding back blocks of tickets which is normal for this venue (casinos). Selling about as quickly as Philly. Mohegan Sun - sold almost as deeply as North Jersey. Good Diamond seats still available. Looks like it will sell out. Toronto - there is a map -- some sections not yet for sale. Most of the floor and 100 level sold -- there remaining seats have upgrades are singles or are back rows sides. This one could sell out. *** Auburn Hills (Detroit) which is a hard venue to sell out -- now has opened up more back rows in the upper deck. This is a big venue and for the sides of the upper deck, they open up 4 rows at a time for most concerts. The left side is now on the back 4 rows, the right side still has some rows blocked out. They also opened up some rows on the 100 level with fan packs. The Interactive Maps cannot be used to count seats sold unless someone watches them to see when tickets are made available and when they are sold. It's wonderful to see the fans get the tickets they want. There are still quite a few tickets on the resale market though. Will those tickets be coming down in price? I'm trying to talk myself into Toronto.

But a couple of things: 1. Adam may well have had more voters (individuals) voting for him, but the Adam voters were mostly using voice lines. So while Adam fans were hearing busy signals the Kris fans were texting away. 2. I am thoroughly convinced that it would not have worked out better for Adam if he won. Seriously, he is going on tour with Queen and has Co-Billing. He is working on his third album. He has built the foundation for an acting career. And although it has been a roller coaster its been a hellofa ride for Adam and his fans. AND IT HAS JUST BEGUN!

Very tempting..

I had no idea he was gay when Adam was on Idol. The thought never crossed my mind to even question it. And I was bewildered by all the focus on his orientation afterwards.." but, but.. have you heard him SING?? Why is this important?"
