Adam Lambert shares a tiny bit more about his album
Unreality Primetime (UK) April 4th, 2014 by Martin Lamont.
You may think that Adam Lambert isn’t really a well known name compared to the other two mentioned so far but you’re wrong.
Here at Unreality TV we know a huge number of Adam Lambert fans and they’re all dedicated to the former ‘American Idol’ alumni who is currently working on his new album, which earlier in the week he called “very sonically diverse and very honest”. Sounds exciting right?
He’s definitely keeping his Glamberts waiting but the good thing is, they’re all willing to wait and we think that’s pretty cool. They’re a dedicated bunch.

"When he was cast on Glee, our hearts were filled with joy" <33
Should Adam Lambert Be a Full-Time Character on Glee?
Should Adam Lambert Be a Full-Time Character on Glee?
When Adam Lambert was cast on Glee, our hearts were filled with joy. Not only did we know that this dude has some serious pipes, but we thought that he’d bring a breath of fresh air to the show. Now that we’ve had the chance to see him in action portraying the ever-fabulous Starchild, we’re glad he’s around — even though we know it is only for a limited time. But should he become a full-time character?
Wetpaint Entertainment asked Viggle LIVE! users that exact question during the April 1 episode of Glee — Season 5, Episode 14 (“New New York”) and the results are in.
We’re happy to report that 79 percent of voters are totally in support of Adam coming aboard the Fox dramedy full-time, noting that they love Starchild and the pizzazz his rocker role has added to the show. Only 21 percent (incorrectly) think that Adam and his character are boring the socks off of viewers. Get on the right side of history, people!
Here’s the deal: We LOVE Starchild. He entered our hearts singing Lady Gaga’s “Marry the Night” and has been impressing us each and every time we get to see him. We even think that he and Kurt (Chris Colfer) would make an AMAZING couple — though that doesn’t seem to be in the cards. Our forever wish? Keep Adam. Keep Starchild. Period.

“…the year Adam Lambert lost in the finals to Kris Allen.”
Q3 comment: That is how I think of AI8!
One of those backup singers this week was Allison Iraheta, a kindred soul to Johnson, a rock singer who also sang Aretha — as well as Aerosmith and Heart — and came in fourth on the eighth season of "Idol" in 2009. That was the year Adam Lambert lost in the finals to Kris Allen.

The 2014 "Part-of-the-World" Queen + Adam Lambert Tour
4.5.14 by Q3
The countdown moves on and the start of this epic tour gets closer. Only 75 days to go!
#75 “The Prophet’s Song” (1975)
Written by Brian May.
Released on Queen’s fourth studio album A Night at the Opera on November 21, 1975.
The idea of releasing The Prophet’s Song as the lead single from “A Night at the Opera” was considered until Bohemian Rhapsody was selected.
“The Prophet’s Song” is a quintessential mid-70’s progressive rock-heavy metal song – complex, theatrical, long (over 8 minutes), incorporating global music influences, and with a mystical/religious narrative theme. This is a bit like a time machine. If you lived through the 70’s it will draw you back to the spirit of 1975. If you were not fortunate enough to be alive in 1975, it might just give you a glimpse of what you missed.
And this is one of the theatrical Queen songs that I think Adam could really do something with – and the vocal improvisation section really would give him some freedom that does not exist on most of the song Queen typically performs live.
Queen performed "The Prophet's Song" regularly from 1975-1978. While I do not believe this song will be played in the upcoming concerts, it would be interesting to hear this song performed one more time with Brian on guitar. Although a long-shot, I think it is more likely that this song will be played in Japan rather than in North America. (See the “Making of The Prophet Song video which includes information about the Japanese influences in this song.)
“The Prophets Song” (Album track, remastered version)
youtu.be/lJrGYB52qUk
On the show In the Studio with Redbeard, while discussing A Night at the Opera, Brian May explained that he wrote “The Prophet’s Song” after he dreamed about a great flood while he was recovering from being ill while recording Sheer Heart Attack. The dream is the source of some of the lyrics about The Great Flood which include references to the Bible and the Noah's Ark story.
Brian spent several days putting this song together which includes a vocal canon sung by Freddie Mercury. The vocals and later instrumental canon was produced by early tape delay devices. It is a heavy and dark number with a strong progressive rock influence. At over eight minutes in length, is also Queen's longest song (not counting the untitled instrumental track on Made in Heaven in 1995).
As detailed by May in a documentary about the album, the speed-up effect that happens in the middle of the guitar solo was achieved by starting a reel-to-reel player with the tape on it, as the original tape player was stopped.
Brian May (1975):
"I had a dream about what seemed like revenge on people, and I couldn't really work out in the dream what it was that people had done wrong. It was something like a flood. Things had gone much too far and as a kind of reparation, the whole thing had to start again. In the dream, people were walking on the streets trying to touch each others hands, desperate to try to make some sign that they were caring about other people. I felt that the trouble must be – and this is one of my obsessions, anyway – that people don't make enough contact with each other. A feeling that runs through a lot of the songs I write is, that if there is a direction to mankind, it ought to be a coming together, and at the moment, it doesn’t seem to be happening very well. I worry about it a lot. I worry about not doing anything about it. Things seem to be getting worse."
"But I wasn't trying to preach in the song at all. I was just trying to put across the questions which are in my mind, rather than the answers, which I don't believe I have. The only answer I can see is to be aware of things like that and to sort of try to put yourself to rights. There is an overseer in the song, though, whose cry to the multitudes is to 'listen to the warning of the seer'. In the song is this guy who also appeared in the dream. I don't really know whether he was a prophet or an impostor, but anyway, he's standing up there and saying, 'Look, you've got to mend your ways.' I still don't know whether he's the man who thinks he's sent from God or whether he isn't. The song asks questions rather than gives answers."

"'The Prophets Song' had been around for quite a long time, and I finished the lyrics off when we were making the album. I don't know exactly what inspired the words – I had a dream about some of it which I put into the song."

Freddie Mercury
Interview with Kenny Everett 1975 "Brian has an outrageous mammoth epic track which is one of our heaviest numbers to date. He's got his guitar extravaganza on it. You see, Brian has acquired a new guitar specially built so he can almost make it speak. It will talk on this track."
5/21/1976, Record Mirror "That's a Brian May track really. It's one of the nicest songs on the album. It really took a long while to record that one. A lot of work has gone into that track, and he practically went insane trying to get it together. We do that completely different on stage... It's one of the things that we wanted to do, y'know; the same as I wanted to do the operatic side of things in Bohemian Rhapsody. Brian wanted to try a completely different angle on that track. It's something that he had in mind for a long while and I think it's been very successful."

“The Prophet's Song” (Lyrics)
youtu.be/WoiV60vqa1w
Oh Oh people of the earth
Listen to the warning
The seer he said
Beware the storm that gathers here
Listen to the wise man.
I dreamed I saw on a moonlit stair
Spreading his hands on the multitude there
A man who cried for a love gone stale
And ice cold hearts of charity bare.
I watch as fear took the old men's gaze
Hopes of the young in troubled graves
I see no day, I heard him say
So grey is the face of every mortal.
Oh Oh people on the earth
Listen to the warning
The prophet he said
For soon the cold of night will fall
Summoned by your own hand.
Oh Oh children of the land
Quicken to the new life
Take my hand
Fly and find the new green bough
Return like a white dove.
He told of death as a bone white haze
Taking the lost and the unloved babe
Late too late all the wretches run
These kings of beasts now counting their days.
From mother's love is the son estranged
Married his own his precious gain
The earth will shake in two will break
And death all around will be your dow'ry
Oh Oh people of the earth
Listen to the warning the seer he said
For those who hear and mark my words
Listen to the good plan.
Oh Oh - and two by two my human zoo
They'll be
runnung for to come
running for to come
out of the rain
Flee for your life
Who heed me not, let all your treasure make you
Fear for your life
Deceive you not the fires of hell will take you
Should death await you.
Oh Oh people can you hear me?
Oh People can you hear me?
And now I know, and now I know
And now I know, and now I know
And now I know, that you can hear me
The Earth will shake and two will break...
The Earth will shake and two will break...
The Earth will shake and two will break...
And now I know, and now I know...
And now I know, and now I know...
And now I know, and now I know...
And now I know, and now I know...
Listen to the wise man, listen to the wise man
Listen to the wise man, listen to the wise man
Come here, Aye you
Come here, Aye you
Come here.....
Listen to the man, listen to the man
Listen to the man, listen to the man
Man......
God give you grace to purge this place
And peace all around may be your fortune.
Oh Oh children of the land
Love is still the answer, take my hand
The vision fades, a voice I hear
Listen to the Madman!
But still I fear and still I dare not
Laugh at the Madman.

What If You Have An Extra Ticket or Two?
As long as you are willing to sell your ticket to a member for what you paid for it, you can post any "for sale" tickets in the Members Only section in the concert thread for the event.
A couple suggestions:
1. If you have a Ticketmaster ticket, you can transfer it on Ticketmaster for most concerts. (Be careful about ticket transfers in Philadelphia and at Merrieweather Columbia, MD. You cannot transfer a Will Call ticket at there venues.)
2. If you purchased a VIP Fan Package, the merchandise will be shipped to the purchaser’s address. If you wish to give this to the buyer with the ticket, remember you will need to mail it.
