I have been on vacation and have done nothing but sink into the rabbit hole...QAL, Adam, Orlando, Winstar, anything with the complete show...I am loving it! I stopped long enough to make folders in my Youtube download file for each of the Tour Dates. WOW...32!!! amazing!!! Will they add more??? probably. I don't want to miss a single video for any of the shows. Then I will move or copy them to my 2 external drives so I can have them forever. Q3 & Talon I have loved everything Queen you have posted, can't wait to see what they actually choose. I do think they will also change it up a bit along the way. Brian was right when he said they had so many hits to choose from. I'm so excited I can barely stand it!!!! LadyM I'm so happy to see you back and LOVE all the great pictures you're posting.
Thank you sweetheart!
I am so happy these days and I want my happiness to share with you my amazing friends!

Thanks so much! That Adam, I wish I had the poetic means to write what he makes me feel. What a precious precious gift, to be able to take people on an emotional ride with just a voice. To possibly over-emote, it's like I am feeling his soul when he sings songs like Broken Open. What magic. www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpF0HNFDSJMAlso wanted to thank you, cassie, for your cogent comments on the more technical side of Adam's voice. For me, like I said, it is just magic, as I have no training to understand it any other way than viscerally. Your explanations just fascinate me, and help me to understand on an entirely different level how amazing his voice is. A fuller understanding, kind of. Your posts also make me understand how much time and effort and training and practice go into developing what I'm sure was an innately awesome instrument. The respect he shows his talent thrills me. He may have had a head start, but his devotion has honed that genetic advantage into a fully earned credibility, IMO. So thanks for helping me to fan girl for even more reasons about Adam.
Not even going into how damnably attractive he is! *shallow, but true*
Ultimately, it doesn't matter how Adam does what he does. If his singing and his voice move you, soothe you, inspire you and amaze you, that is his purpose and his goal. That said, when you know something about what goes into producing such sound, I think it becomes more amazing, remarkable, unique, and marvelous. Many people think that a TRUE musician plays an instrument. They have tried to play one themselves, and know what amount of time, effort, study, perseverance and dedication it takes to become a master of the craft. But, they think that a good voice is just natural. One rolls out of bed with that sound. It is a gift from the gods. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth. Which is why I like to share information about singing in general and Adam's singing in specific. My goal is to help folks gain a deeper appreciation for how hard Adam has worked and continues to work, for what he brings to the table that is all HIS, not just the luck of some birth lottery of talent. Perhaps folks will also understand why what Adam does sounds so special, and is not duplicated by other singers. Yes, Adam was born with certain physiological traits that make that voice possible. He was gifted with the vocal equivalent of a Stradivarius violin. But, if he hadn't studied formally, classically, and if he hadn't been obsessively committed to singing and performing over the many years, we would never have heard what we have been blessed to hear. Just like if someone gifted you a Stradivarius, but you never took lessons or practiced. If you attempted to play, you would sound no better than a beginner on a $50 student beater. A few of us Adamtopians mention from time to time wanting to hear Adam sing classical music. It is not necessarily because that is our favorite type of music to listen to. Rather, it is because opera, for example, was written for the very best voices with the very best training. It was designed to challenge, stretch, show off, and utilize the human voice to its ultimate. There's no other music that technically comes even close. We want the best singer we know to take on such an ultimate challenge. Just to hear him triumph. Not that I think he will ever humor us with an opera aria. BUT, he has given us the closest approximation in the pop/rock music world by performing with Queen. The Show Must Go On, and WWTLF come damned close to an operatic aria. I cannot wait to experience them live in a little less than a month! Cassie you've touched on something that makes me really crazy - the way people almost dismiss or devalue singers who train their voices. I'm seeing it again on The Voice Oz this season where people are almost proud of never having taken a singing lesson or done any training and those who have trained not being given as much kudos. It is nuts. Adam has a gift and a physicality that set the stage, his years of working on his craft is why he is so good. I love that Brian calls his voice "an instrument" and IMO that is one of the reasons that Queen is so amazing - they truly recognised the voice as one of the instruments on stage - no more no less important.

People do that with all of the arts. Certain well known authors are lionized for plotting their novels on napkins. Guess what, it shows. Somehow such people are folk heroes while authors who spend years learning to express ideas with craft and sensitivity go begging. Sent from my HTC One using proboards

I had a feeling that there would be a second Melbourne concert on the Saturday night, so we all agreed to book accommodation for that night just in case.... either way a 2nd night in Melbourne can't be a bad thing, right?! But now the fact that we get to see QAL TWICE when we thought we weren't going to see them at all is just beyond a fantasy... no this cannot be the real life! :D Got my ticket for the Saturday concert - a lot closer than Friday - still not in the front sections, but 10 rows back from the end of the 'catwalk' so I'm not complaining! Only 94 days til I see that gorgeous man and hear that incredible voice LIVE again!!! And in the meantime many, many concerts to enjoy and to follow everyone's journey throughtout NA. Aren't we just so darn lucky??!!!
It is such incredibly excited time... I'm so happy for all, wherever we are!
