Does anyone know when Queen toured with Paul Rogers was there a section of the show, like with Adam, where Brian and Roger just performed together and then Rogers came back on stage? Yes. In 2005 they opened the show and did about 5-6 songs, then Paul left, Roger came out and did Say It's Not True before leaving and Brian came out to do '39/Love Of My Life. Then they did Hammer To Fall where Brian started and Paul came out to help finish and do another song. THEN came a drum solo followed by Rog doing I'm In Love With My Car. After the instrumental solos, Roger would do Days of Our LIves and Ga Ga for most of it before Paul came out to finish the song. ALSO in 2005, Paul had some vocal troubles so Brian also did I Want It All a few times and Roger would do the hard rock section of Hammer To Fall. In 2006 in North America - they dropped Say It's Not True but the rest was similar In 2008, it was full band then Brian came on to do Love of My Life. Roger then joined him and they started '39 just the two of them, and then got the whole rest of the band (minus Paul) to join to finish. Brian left the stage and Roger did a drum/bass solo (playing with his sticks on Danny Miranda's bass as his full kit was assembled around him. THEN he did I'm In Love With My Car, A Kind of Magic (while drumming) and then started Say It's Not True with Brian joining on the 2nd verse and then Paul for the rest. SOOOO the long and short of it, yes they always had moments much like QAL where Paul was offstage. 2005 - Rog sings 3 3/4 songs, Bri sings 2 1/2 2006 - Rog sings 2 3/4, Bri sings 1 1/2 2008 - Rog sings 3 1/2, Bri sings 2 1/2 |
