Okay. So when people throw around numbers like $70 million gross income for the tour, that is before paying for 17 trucks of equipment, multiple buses for performers and staff, hotels, stylist, wardrobe mistress, video team, audio team, lighting team, staging team, roadies, guitar masters, drum masters, daily managers, security team, Spike, Tiger and Neil, ....
It is before the venue takes its cut, the ticket vendors take their cut, the management teams take their cuts....
Tell me again, in the end, how much do we think Adam will actually make per concert or for the entire tour? (Okay, before taxes)

Here's my take on what Adam is making.
He is making music. He is making my dreams come true. When he sings, he begs my eyes to close and be taken by his voice. Taken. We are here, with the Pied Piper; the stuff of fairy tales. Peter Pan; I close my eyes, and in his voice I can fly.

(Okay, before taxes) <snicker> I dunno, but didn't Bri or Roger once say that they didn't tend to make much money on tours because they paid so much for them? That said, none of that likely affects Adam because (for once) he's now (probably) one of those people who gets paid before Brian and Roger get paid. Unless he's getting a cut of the profits, which I don't know. Analogy: even if GNT went south, TommyJoe, Brooke, Terrance, etc would all get their paychecks. It would just be Adam who went into the hole. This time I presume that Adam has a guarenteed salary. Its just Brian and Roger who are left holding the bag (or the bucks) if something goes wrong (or right). ETA: That said, if anyone is gonna profit-share with Brian and Roger, it will be Adam ETA2: Color me crazy, but I think I heard somewhere that John Deacon will still get a cut even though he has nothing to do with this tour.

Tell me again, in the end, how much do we think Adam will actually make per concert or for the entire tour? (Okay, before taxes) Cassie, no one knows what Adam is making from this tour but it is a big number. More than he made on the whole Worldwide GNT. This is truly a SWAG of what it might look like. I have NO info about this specific tour beyond the current state of ticket sales. My revenue numbers may be low. Revenue: > Ticket sales -- the ticket agency fee is above that, not a deduction TICKET PRICE US $85.00 x 1 -- to promoter (LiveNation) FEES US $13.05 x 1 -- to Ticketmaster TAXES US $0.98 x 1 Some venues have a Building Facility Charge which is added to the ticket and goes to the venue. > VIP package sales -- probably +$5,000,000 or so > Tour concession sales, program sales -- probably +$7,000,000 or so > Percent of food and beverage sales -- probably +$2,000,000 > Sponsorships -- we know at least AMEX and VISA are sponsors of specific concerts, iHR is paying for the preview concert > Tokyo and Korea are almost certainly guarantees -- >$1 million net per show All said and done this tour will officially gross maybe $70 million plus have about $20-$30 million in other revenue. Expenses: A lot of trucks and a lot of buses for 2-1/2 months. Travel expenses. The personnel travel by buses. The artist occasionally fly. Venue charges - in the US arenas are sometimes free or very inexpensive, some artist are actually paid to play a venue. Security Production and tech crew (a lot of people) Design, development, etc. Set, lighting rig, pryo (mostly components that are reused) Equipment - Queen owns a lot of what they use, the rest will be rented 3 touring band members Probably all in it is something like $100 million in revenue - $40 million in expenses. That leaves about $60 million. Live Nation gets a cut because they are the promoter and took all the risk. The rest goes to the 3 main artists, plus some rights payments to John and The Freddie Mercury Trust.
