By Brian Teets, Legal Intern
June 12, 2014
AT&T launched its second annual “Live Proud” campaign in honor of Pride Month, and you can be apart of it."Live Proud" encourages LGBT people and allies to post to submit a meme that expresses awareness, empowerment and pride.
If you submit, you'll be in good company. 2013 GLAAD honoree, Adam Lambert joined the campaign last year and does so again this year. The person with most unique photo that demonstrates how you live proud will win a V.I.P. experience with Adam Lambert. You can find out more about the contest here. (apps.facebook.com/attlgbt/?source=ECae000000000000U&wtExtndSource=liveproud&GUID=1EB255D5-75D3-45D5-839C-A4F86FBE5A0B)
Additionally, AT&T is presenting a live Google Hangout with singer, songwriter and actor, Adam Lambert on Saturday, June 14 at 1:00 PM PDT. The Hangout will consist of questions – asked by you and Adam’s fans – about the AT&T Live Proud campaign, his highly-anticipated summer tour with Queen and other hot topics.
AT&T is joining a number of other corporations who are getting into the Pride spirit with an LGBT-focused marketing campaign. AT&T hopes the campaign and contest will send a message through social media that being proud is something to be celebrated.

2014 Queen + Adam Lambert Tour countdown….
6.14.14 by Q3
OMG!!! --- there are only 5 days to go!!
#5 “The Show Must Go On” (1991)
Written primarily by Brian May, credited to Queen.
Released and as the twelfth and final track on Innuendo February 4, 1991, and as a single October 14, 1991 (UK)
"It's my favorite song on the album, now. It's got that kind of sadness, but it's hopeful."
Brian May - August 1991, Guitar World
"The Show Must Go On" was written primarily by Brian but all four band members contributed. The initial idea was a chord sequence Roger and John were working on. The rhythm of the refrain is similar to the Queen's 1989 song, "I Want It All". Brian decided to use the sequence, and both he and Freddie decided the theme of the lyrics and wrote the first verse together. From then on Brian finished the lyrics, completed the vocal melody and wrote the bridge, inspired by Pachelbel's Canon. Some keys and ideas were suggested by David Richards, the track and Innuendo (album) producer.
"'The Show Must Go On' came from Roger and John playing the sequence, and I started to put things down. At the beginning, it was just this chord sequence, but I had this strange feeling that it could be somehow important, and I got very impassioned and went and beavered away at it. I sat down with Freddie, and we decided what the theme should be and wrote the first verse. It's a long story, that song, but I always felt it would be important because we were dealing with things that were hard to talk about at the time, but in the world of music, you could do it."
Brian May - 1994
Brian May - 1994
The song has a literal meaning – but it has come to mean much and be generalized beyond the sad moment it memorialized in song.
There seem to be no question that this song will be performed in the upcoming concert tour
The song chronicles the effort of Freddie to perform despite approaching the end of his life. Freddie was so ill, and could barely walk, when the band recorded the song in 1990, that Brian had concerns as to whether he was physically capable of singing it. Recalling Freddie's performance, Brian said; "he went in and killed it, completely lacerated that vocal".
Personnel
Musicians:
Freddie Mercury - lead vocals
Brian May - guitars, keyboards, backing vocals
John Deacon - bass guitar
Roger Taylor - drums, backing vocals
Produced by: Queen and David Richards
Releases
It was released as a single in the United Kingdom on October 14, 1991 in promotion for the Greatest Hits II album, just six weeks before Freddie died. Following Mercury's death on November 24, 1991, the song re-entered the British charts and spent as many weeks in the top 75 (five) as it did upon its original release, initially reaching a peak of 16. A live version with Elton John on vocals appeared on Queen's Greatest Hits III album.

“The Show Must Go On” Lyrics
youtu.be/fBOvOatPqnY
The Show Must Go On
Empty spaces, what are we waiting for
Abandoned places, I guess we know the score
On and on
Does anybody know what we are looking for
Another hero another mindless crime
Behind the curtain in the pantomime
Hold the line
Does anybody want to take it anymore
The show must go on
The show must go on
Inside my heart is breaking
My make-up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on
Whatever happens I'll leave it all to chance
Another heartache another failed romance
On and on
Does anybody know what we are living for
I guess I'm learning
I must be warmer now
I'll soon be turning round the corner now
Outside the dawn is breaking
But inside in the dark I'm aching to be free
The show must go on
The show must go on, yeah
Oooh inside my heart is breaking
My make-up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on
Yeah oh oh oh
My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies
Fairy tales of yesterday will grow but never die
I can fly, my friends
The show must go on, yeah
The show must go on
I'll face it with a grin
I'm never giving in
On with the show
I'll top the bill
I'll overkill
I have to find the will to carry on
On with the
On with the show
The show must go on
"Typical Queen, sort of a closing track, metaphorical in a way."
