During the early hours I did raise my eyebrows to the coronet, also a little bit to the massive production and felt that the light show was too much for my taste. But they promised big and so it was - certainly a major experience to the audience. The huge Q-screen must've been the cherry for the people seated far away from the stage - as well as the tip of the thrust. The music was absolutely great and Adam sang like a mofo - that's the most important thing. And I get to enjoy it - what a gift! The first Queen song that I heard and loved back in the day, Killer Queen was my only ardent wish to be included in the set list and I got it! And what a way to do it, the couch and all - so happy! It really will be a video summer as the tour continues at a hectic pace. I don't know how I'll keep up but I'll certainly try. My love to all who do videos and share them with us! And thanks for the recaps of the lucky ones who get to be there live!

Adam's eyes are very happy in all the video's I've watched. He's having a blast! And, he gives us a commanding performance. I could just grab and kiss QUEEN for seeing Adam's potential and sharing their music with him. They're a match made in heaven.

I haven't gotten through the entire thread yet so maybe this has been answered already. If I heard the stream correctly, they played God Save the Queen at the end of the show, which I think is a Queen tradition, right? Talon - need your expertise here! What's the audience role for God Save the Queen? Are we supposed to stand & sing along? I know the Radio Gaga drill but what's the tradition at the end??? When Queen and Adam performed in London, they did not play God Save the Queen!

Ok I'm back from having slept on it....and I probably overreacted a bit. It was an in the moment feeling when really it was meant to be an homage and a humorous moment. Freddie would have found it amusing. I still don't love it, but it won't affect me anymore...and I won't bring it up again (unless in response). And of course, I can always take solace in the fact that... At least Freddie's crown was bigger LOL - it was a damn sight bigger, AND it had ermine and red velvet!!! Absolutely no comparison. It was a fun show, great music - you're gonna have such a good time.

Thanks, LindaG23 and coo.coo.ca.choo. talon, I wanted to also add my thanks to the others for all the lovely background you have provided for us. Enriched and enhanced the show for me. And here is my prediction: you will lose yourself in the show when you see it it live, and come away with a great big smile on your face.

Yes, it ended with Brian May's arrangement of "God Save The Queen", recorded by Queen, which is how ever Queen concert has ended since the Columbus, OH concert in February 5, 1975. See the June 18, 2014 News Threads for more info about Queen and GSTQ -- it was the end of the countdown. Talon's post is on page two.

What's the audience role for God Save the Queen? Are we supposed to stand & sing along? I know the Radio Gaga drill but what's the tradition at the end??? Not really an audience tradition of sorts. It's not played live...it's a taped recording (like Procession in the beginning). From its inception in 1974 throughout the rest of the career it plays out during the bows usually...although in 2012 it played much later reportedly as in when the band left the stage. You don't have to worry about doing anything but clapping very loudly and cheering :D LOL - it was a damn sight bigger, AND it had ermine and red velvet!!! Absolutely no comparison. It was a fun show, great music - you're gonna have such a good time. Absolutely! I'll take it Oh I know I'm going to have a blast :D One more thing about QAL that I do like better than QPR. All Queen songs...and I'm actually a PR fan. I love All Right Now, Feel Like Makin' Love etc. and Queen made them even better...but I'd prefer a full on Queen setlist :D talon, I wanted to also add my thanks to the others for all the lovely background you have provided for us. Enriched and enhanced the show for me. And here is my prediction: you will lose yourself in the show when you see it it live, and come away with a great big smile on your face. :D I'm sure I will
