They held those seats as VIP for too long, so it will sure feel weird to have the seats around the stage empty. Perhaps they'll allow peeps to move up? But we still have two days to sell, so the reviews and buzz could move some tickets! Winnipeg: sold pretty well in the end! The latest count came in at 92% sold! But again, many empty seats right around the thrust. Who knows, may be by the concert these will be sold. Everyone going to the show tonight and especially my dear friends (if you are reading) - ENJOY AND RECAP!!!!  If there are empty seats in high profile locations they will move people |

Home from Chicago...tired and happy as can be! Q3's account pretty much covered it all, per usual  Enjoyed our brief Squeefest...to be continued. Sorry I missed saying Hi to a few folks. From the moment I arrived until I found myself, along with needacoke and justwishin, standing in the rain afterwards "soaked to the bone" w/o an umbrella on some street corner searching for a cab.....I was totally in an alternate universe. Thank goodness needacoke had installed Uber on her phone or we might still be standing there. I was thinking that my seat.....which turned out to be next to Momtomany, how wonderful was that???.....was gonna be too far back, while others were up closer. Well.......turns out that head on in front of the thrust was just about THE BEST THING EVER !!!!! I had Killer Queen, Love Kills, etc. right in front of me. I could see all of the stage fine and of course the tops of those staircases. It was such a rush seeing him heading down that catwalk towards the end of the thrust. Just ask 4EverAdam. LOL. |

Thanks, wal, for posting this video. Although I really like the leopard suit, especially the rhinestones, for some reason it didn't fully capture me.
Silly shallow me, now I can see why. At ~1:10 in the video wal posted, it clearly demonstrates it's inferiority to, say, the while pants, or the black leather pants. What's wrong with this picture? A little...looseness? A little lack of definition? Okay, okay, *paddles off to the very very shallow end.*

I've been cynical of the union of Queen and Adam, but always respected their choice to go out and play their songs. The trouble is, quite possibly like a lot of other people, I've never taken the time to listen to them perform. This song is the song that got me into Queen way back in '84, and as such it is very important and personal to me. Adam, in my opinion, absolutely nails it. He isn't trying to be, or replace, Freddie, and he performs this song beautifully and in his own way. And how awesome is it to see both Brian and Roger back where they belong and feel at home; on stage and live! I'm now hoping they come over to the UK and okay some shows. Congratulations boys. Keeping the music and Freddie's memory alive and kicking :D

I was there, in fact that's me (getting Mike Wazowski'd) at 4:52 raising my arm up behind the IHeart Radio logo with the red wrist band on, 15 feet from the stage.
I never heard Adam sing before this, didn't have much expectations from him. I saw all the supposed "Queen Fans" belittle Queens choice of picking Adam Lambert. To me, if you are a TRUE Queen fan, you would respect that Brian and Roger know everything there is to know about Queen, being as they ARE Queen, and, that being said, you would respect their decision.
They DON'T WANT to replace Freddie, they don't want a Freddie Stand in, or a Freddie Imitator / impersonator, or a Freddie Wanna-be. Freddie lives on forever in their original music. They stated very clearly, and its very clear to see with Adam, they want to put a fresh twist on their music, to open it up to new fans, old and young. They want to do what they love, play music, with what they have left of the original band.
Of course nobody is going to sing the songs exactly like, or even anywhere near as well as Freddie did.
I will tell you what, from someone who was there, 15 feet from Brian playing and Adam singing, and from someone who will be in LA on July 3rd to watch them play a full concert, he nailed it. He is an entertainer and you can tell from the way he presents himself and the way he performs that he is trying to honor Freddie (because lets be honest, there are no bigger shoes in Music history to fill), but at the same time he is putting his own thing into it, making it his own. And THAT is why Brian and Roger, and most likely even John (behind the scenes in his own way) wanted him to be their front man on this new journey.
My thoughts... Besides, I stood 15 feet from Brian playing, so I still have a permasmile on my face that nobody could ever wipe off.
