Adam's part:

...On another occasion, our president, Norman Wedderburn, called and asked me to represent Make-A-Wish and escort a child through a journey of having a wish fulfilled. She was flying into Miami to meet Adam Lambert. He would be performing at the Fontainebleau and they’d have lunch at Hakkasan. Adam’s enthusiasm for meeting this child was unmistakable. He didn’t just give her time and attention, but he was completely present for their conversation. He shared stories with her, and she told him that the only way she got through her time in the hospital— and the pain that accompanied those days—was his image on her pillow. I could see the tears well up in Adam’s eyes.

It really makes me sad that Adam is compared to Freddie over and over again,but the show ,in a way is a dedication to Freddie and Queen.. How can you not compare when there is a big video on a huge screen with Freddie singing. In a way the show is a memorial to him ,with Adam paying homage.The whole show inspires feelings for Freddie's memory.. So Adam to some extend is an understudy to a dead man who seems to get better ,like Michael Jackson with every dead year.

But as in all things.. when the understudy is equal or better to the main attraction and a live as well...He no longer stays the understudy.
I believe that some feel that they would be crass if they didn't throw in a good word for a man who tragically died at the height of his career..
The last critic got it, Adam has to work twice as hard to get half the credit..
I believe Adam knew this would be a difficult gig .. he said it I can never compare to the best rock singer ever ,type of thing.. Well he is being compared and in a GREAT way.. the applause,the kudos, the adulation and the sold out concerts are for Adam and Queen not Freddie and Queen.
I do feel however that it would be great if Brian and Roger stopped with the old stuff and went forward with new music.. either that or some old Queen fans just may try  burying them and their hits with the very dead Freddie.
