Tbh without disrespecting anyone, this aint about Freddie. Queen have had 11 lead singers since his untimely death. Tbh the reason why its so hard to fill Freddies shoes is finding someone as majestic, as talented, as charasmatic, same star power, stage presence etc. But also a star in their own right. That classic rock blog was bang on, finding someone who posseses all that but also doesent need to do it, but does it anyway is rare. I understand purists views, but they dont posses rights to the bands heritage, so i dont really understand their problem. Adam Lambert is simply Imo the greatest vocalist alive, how anyone can downplay his talent is beyond me, the hate makes no logical sense. But Adam Lambert has made a career out of prooving ppl wrong, beleive it or not MJ and Freddie werent eunamousley praised from critics and fans alike, like Adam is. Freddie and Queen in a Calgary review back in the 70's got accused of borriwing sounds, was not impressed by Freddie at all, RS were not very favourable too. But of course its better to be overrarted then not to be rated at all, misunderstood genius and all.

Can't even imagine the stamina needed to do a show like this night after night. Just the vocal demands let alone the mile or so he must walk throughout the show. So yes I'd say serious gym time would be a must... |
