Nice recap  I will say that my problem with the woman standing next to me was that she was singing loud enough that I could not hear Adam very well and I think that is worth complaining YMMV I did not suggest she stop though, although she told me to quit taking photographs and when it was ok to stand and when I needed to sit. It's over with now though and hopefully I will have a better experience in LV    |

You guys are making me laugh. I should have known off the get go it was not going to go well, she told me about being a huge idol fan right off the bat. And not a huge fan like our MyS*&@^#r  Her exact words were "you need to stop taking pics, it's starting to piss me off. I can't see." I was sitting down.   |

Holy shit, Tinafea, what an unbelievably rude person to have beside you! That would sure impact your enjoyment of the concert Glad to hear that you have another one which will hopefully work out much better. Who the heck does she think she is!

via @mmadamimmadam FINALEST OF FINAL NEW PLAN!!! @jafoal has a friend who videotaped the entire Vancouver show UNINTERRUPTED in mp4 format. Keep in mind that her friend is a Queen fan and therefore cuts away from Adam at very "unfortunate" moments! LOL! There are two files from the guy: 1. Opening until encore 2. Encore I've merged those two files into one so if you upload to your TV, you can watch the whole thing. After yesterday's fiasco with Google Drive, @devenlane has kindly agreed to upload the files to her blog and provide everyone with Mega links for all 3 files. Parts 1 and 2 are already in her folder for download here mega.co.nz/#F!eFNGhbwK!aZCIF3b3Mr89OAlkqI0ogg The amalgamated file will appear there as well once she uploads it, so keep checking back. My QAL Vancouver musings……. Late because like many Canadians, we took advantage of the July 1rst Canada Day and extended it into a mini vacation.
We started our Saturday with a ferry ride to Vancouver from our home….. which go figure, isn’t even on an island, but that’s another story. On the ferry, DH spotted a few women wearing what he lovingly refers to as ‘cougar print’, and declared them our first ‘Glambert’ sighting.
LOL Every time this happened he let out his famous baby cub ‘rawr’. I love him, but it wore thin after our 100th ‘cougar print’ sighting!
We arrived at our accommodations in Coal Harbour, which is where the Vancouver Convention Centre, Canada Place and the Olympic Cauldron are. I recall someone earlier saying they had searched for the cauldron? Perhaps you were in the wrong harbor, as Vancouver has many, being virtually surrounded by water on three sides.
We shopped, we lunched, we martinied! Then an early taxi to Rogers arena so we could enter the venue quickly and jump into the merch pit! I bought myself the tour book and DH a t-shirt and then we were off to our seats. Our seats were fantastic for this show. On the right side of the catwalk , only a few rows up from the floor. Great sound and sightlines! Two of my BFF’s were on the opposite side of the arena in virtually the same seats and I couldn’t wait to squee with them after the show!
Though I was sad that we missed out on a few things I was looking forward to…… the Q moving from vertical to horizontal with the jets firing……. my beloved ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ , the call and response and the fringe sleeves for ‘Killer Queen’, we were thrilled with the show. The fringe had a definite malfunction. We could clearly see Adam pulling them off and tossing them to someone at the side of the stage. But arms!!! We got more arms! And Adam looked like he was about to start the call and response, but the band kicked in and he came down the stairs disappointed.
Dr. Bri’s solo blew DH and I away! We both play guitar …DH being much more proficient than myself. I don’t recall seeing it mentioned that after what seemed like an endless ovation, Brian dropped to his knees on the ‘B’ stage and then hung his head. I shed a tear in that moment. The love and respect from the crowd was palpable. I will admit to one second of worry when he struggled briefly to get back on his feet.
The moment in WWTLF, when singing , “touch my woooorrrrld with your finger tips” , Adam threw his hand into the spotlight and his hand seemed to glow………. took my breath away. His vocals were spot on and he was otherworldly. I had thought that he would only seem that way close up…… like he had from my place at the stage when I first saw him live at the River Rock, but not so. Even from afar he is magical…..human, but not.
DH had two AL observations that amused me. He has seen Adam with me before so the voice and his stage presence weren’t new to him, but the things that stood out since he last saw him……. He has spent time with a personal trainer and a tattoo artist! LOLAfter the show we met up with my BFF’s, one of whom had purchased the tickets for her and her husband, who later refused to go because of AL! She was pissed with him, but our other friend was ecstatic to get the chance to be there. There was much squeeing and “OMG….. did you see his pants….. his boots…… his arms….. his pants….. his thighs……. his pants”! And much agreement that it was one of the best concerts we all had been to.

seoulmate, if I had known about your shitty sightline ahead of time, I would have let you sit on my lap BB! As far as vids of the good Dr.'s solo.... I have only been able to find two that include the full 12+ minutes and both end right after the solo ends!  You would enjoy my DH, he is a real charmer. On top of that he is 6' 2", has thick, gorgeous hair (close to the colour AL's is now), blue/green eyes and when he was Adam's age had the exact same physique. Though he doesn't sing and wouldn't be caught dead in skin tight leather pants........ I think I'll keep him. Oh... and he backed off and rolled his eyes while us girls were squeeing.
