Agree that tonights show was better than Houston but didn't notice sound issues in the Houston show. If anything, tonight's was so loud that I had to use earplugs - though just loosely. I think the difference was the audience which was going nuts before the band had even played a note. I think Adam felt the huge outpouring of love for him and responded. I also think the more he plays with the band the more everything is jelling and the more confident and comfortable he feels in the role as lead singer. Adam can sometimes been a little awkward with his audience "patter" and I loved how tonight he came right out and said how corny the segues are and did some of his own ad libbing. The couch routine keeps getting better as well. His vocals, needless to say, are completely amazing. He's note and pitch perfect from the first note to the last. I don't know of another "pop rock" singer who can pull this off night after night with no backing track or any artificial help - he's truly incredible. [waves at you, Melisende!!] I'm finding it more and more fascinating how the crowds/audiences can differ from one place to another, or one night to the next. I mean, people attending the Houston concert all came out saying BEST CONCERT IN THE HISTORY OF EVER!!! Yet, for peeps who attended both Houston and Dallas, it's like there's no comparison--> Dallas was by far the best! What makes a Houston crowd different from a Dallas crowd? Just different demographics? |
