Tonight.
Best concert of my life. I've said it before, and if the gods are with me, I'll say it again.
Stars aligned.
Brian & Roger were stellar. Brian oozed love & emotion & joy. Did you see him climb those stairs? He looked like he was six!
Neil & Spike were having a ball - clapping, dancing, making faces. It was like recess; but they played a very organized game.
And Adam. Oh, gorgeous Adam. He was fed 'loud'; he was fed 'love' by the boisterous, jubilant crowd - and he soared and landed every note; he danced and fed us the moves we crave. I'm left overwhelmed and filled with love for this 'QAL' - but I can't get enough of this deliciousness!
I'll need another meal.
Spectacular show. I'll be awake for hours!
Here are a couple of quick observations, that have nothing to do with the sheer ecstasy of Montreal - - -
Has Brian ever kneeled at the tip of the thrust, in homage to the adulation of the crowd, before?
I was told that Montreal fans are out and proud; and, boy, were they ever tonite! The lights that shone towards Brian as he sang 'Love of My Life' really did look like stars in an infinite sky. So ethereal, so purely, endlessly beautiful. Brian cried - so did I - so did, it seems, everyone who held a light. Everyone was a star in that arena.
Several times Adam took out his right earpiece, and with his back to the audience, blew on it - as if to dry it off.
Tonite there was no 'did I get you wet?' banter. Someone tried to throw a bra onstage, but their aim fell short. Keepsake for the ground crew, I guess.
Confetti! Tonite it was bright yellow; as opposed to gold in other concerts. (I'm digging for different site trivia here)
Noticed that Roger's red shoes look like red velvet shoes.
Adam began both LK and WWTLF in very soft, dreamlike voice; the voice that immediately communicates with my lacrimal glands.
I do NOT think Brian's guitar solo is too long! Such a memory, seeing his image inside the huge 'Q', surrounded by the Milky Way. Our rocket scientist. Keeper of the beasts and the children.
A blessing for me, at this performance, included the lovely people who surrounded me. Great seats can quickly lose their luster when some stiff, entitled badass shares your space. Tonight I was encircled by youthful goodness and sharing people. Loved these beautiful strangers of Montreal.
Such a wondrous night. I'll need to stare at the ceiling awhile and put myself back in place. Thank goodness for Adamtopia and you . . .
