Whenever I see a really stupid review, I think of Roger's classic response to a Rolling Stone concert review in 1981, and I smile and feel better. Maybe the best part is that he wrote the letter on an (unused) airsickness bag and then mailed it to Rolling Stone (lol!). Here it is: Transcript: Queen on 'Rolling Stone' "Stunned, shocked, amazed and asleep upon perusal of your "in-depth" story of Queen in South America ("Queen Holds Court in South America," RS 345). I am a member of said group and extremely fucking proud of its music (not all) and its achievements. I don't even write to my mother, since the written word seems worth less in this day of the telephone and publications such as yours and the National Enquirer. Your peculiar 1970-time-warp attitude, coupled with an innate, congenital miscomprehension of rock & roll, continues to fascinate and annoy. Thank you, oh thank you, for the pseudopolitical slant and personal dishonesty that you continue to peddle in your outdated, opinionated, down-home rag. Thanks also for the finely tuned musical assessment of my group from our sound check! Grow up. You invented the bitterness. I pity you. You suck. You are boring and you try to infect us. Awaiting your charming review of my current album in about eight months! ROGER TAYLOR London, England" www.lettersofnote.com/2011/07/i-pity-you.htmlPerfect! I love this man even more!

Last night at MSG in this section there was NOTHING...JUST Brian's guitar. That's what I'm saying was unusual- I've listened to this solo from Back To The Light on and it's never been like that. I think it was an error of some sort. Oh, I am late to respond because I was in transit. I did not understand what you were saying. Sorry for being so thick. When Brian is playing that solo, I do not hear anyone else at all -- even when they are playing -- until the end. And the MSG version was more trance-like than the past solos I have heard on this tour. So error, on purpose, whatever it was, I do not know --- all I know is it was my fav solo of the tour so far. Thinking about it now, I believe it was on purpose. It seems like an unlikely error to me.

Quoting durberville:
"What shocks me and what's foremost in my mind this morning, is the awe inspiring love for Brian May and his VERY emotional and endearing connection to the audience. I came for Adam... and he was awesome - but damn, the night became all about Brian for me."
The same thing happened to me; totally unexpected and somewhat emotional. As Brian would say, "Magic happened." The stand-out from my concert at The Forum was the ovation for Brian when he walked out to Stage B. And the music still in my head are Brian's chords from Last Horizon.

Adam Lambert Fan club Brian, Roger, Adam and Freddie Take NYC By Storm ~ Mayra Bitsko
Madison Square Garden was rocking tonight with Brian May on guitar, Roger Taylor and son Rufus Taylor on drums, and Adam Lambert as lead. Exuberant Adam was sensational to say the least. Flashbacks of the one and only legend Freddie Mercury appeared throughout the night. Moreover, Queen programmed Freddie to sing with Brian and Adam on two different occasions, which in turn brought tears to many. Freddie is gone but not forgotten. Adam beautifully sang major songs such as Under Pressure, Radio Gaga, Fat Bottom Girls, Crazy Little Thing Called Love and of course We Are The Champions. Lambert did not imitate Freddie in any way. In fact, he paid respect to the legend with a touching speech on how Freddie is the one and only, how he can never be replaced and how grateful he was to be able to sing these amazing songs. Nevertheless, Lambert together with Queen gave the fans a concert to remember. And without a doubt, Adam put his mark on that stage tonight. A genuine collaboration and respect was visible among Roger, Brian and Adam. Queen and Adam are a match Made In Heaven. You either loved the show or hated. There is no in between. I, a huge fan of Freddie and Queen, loved the show. I hope Freddie was looking down upon his former band mates and Adam. I’m sure he would have been proud. Thank you Queen for keeping Freddie alive. Thank you Adam for being the best front man for Queen since the legend himself.
