I agree with you Avari, quit going there years ago, just too negative an experience. who needs it. and in other news, smart to drop another big ballad. we know it is missing but I don't think others attending feel the show is any less 'complete'. Merriweather was wonderful w/o it, and I can not imagine it would have been better to other people to have it. ADam has been out and about so much on off days, certainly not being 'quiet' - he's been out with friends and I assume pretty chatty!

For those that don't know, many of us met while posting about Adam's season of American Idol on MJsBig Blog (aka, the pink place.). After many of us were banned *raises hand* for posting positively about Adam or posting what was perceived by MJ as argumentative when responding to people who actively dissed Adam. It seemed the banning was arbitrary to many of us. Many of us were banned multiple times. The break-off group for many Adam fans was Planet Fierce, which segued into PF2, and now Adamtopia. Therefore, it seems astonishing to us that a)MJ is attending QAL, and b) reporting positive comments. It always seemed she favored "anybody not named Adam" during his Idol season (and afterward)--much to our chagrin, especially when that blog was the only way many of us could contact each other. Hence the pigs flying; hell freezes over mentions. Just wanted to let everyone in on the history. Personally, I hate inside jokes. That being said, ditto to every disbelieving comment expressed here tonight. I suspect this is against the rules, but I wanted to add one comment. I'm a fugitive from that blog too, but it always seemed to me that it was Adams fans she hated, not Adam himself. I always got the sense that the way she ran the blog was to make things miserable for Adams fans, not necessary directed at Adam himself. But it was nasty there at the time, all the same. Not to be entitled but why take out TSMGO? Oy. Plus DSMN. Can't they add in another Queen song? Not enough songs. :( Maybe it's not Adam's voice that needs the break. Two plus hours every night is an EON to be beating on drums, shredding on guitar/bass,banging on keyboards, etc for the over 60 yo guys on that stage. This is a grueling schedule even for the young & fit. Who knows what made them drop another song. We haven't had TSMGO since way back in San Jose, I think. Didn't Bri say today that his knee was great but the rest of him was "CRAP", or words to that effect? This was an ambitious set list from the beginning & they've been nailing it every show! Unbelievable! So far, 20 shows in 34 days, plus all the travel. And 14 more to go (that we know of). Heck, I'm 10 years younger than Dr. Bri and was out of breath after climbing 5 flights of stairs today. I am in awe of the stamina. But like Dr. Bri said in his tweet, "it's worth it". |

Unbelievable! I think this is a very good point that this is probably physically exhausting to Brian and Roger. It's amazing what they are doing night after night at their age! |
