Just got back from the concert, I have to say the beginning 9 songs were the best I've heard him sing out of the 3 concerts I attended. But that is probably due to the superb sound
- after MSG and Boston I value this higher than I ever thought I would, especially "Now I'm Here" suffers tremendously if the sound turns shrieky or tinny!!! Funny lyrical mishap in "Stone Cold Crazy" though but he noticed it and even smiled about it .
Can't express how much I loved everything of Killer Queen and STL, it just soared...
This was the first show for me where the beginning was better than later part of the concert, in every other case it used to be the exact opposite! It's quite fortunate as I now have fond memories of each portion of the show:)
Brian was awesome tonight, his banter was so much fun and he is so relaxing when he talks. This time around his Solo sounded even more astonishing - I have to yet again point to the sound system which just plays such a huge role in this. It was a little shorter than usual, so I had the completly unfounded hope they would do "The Show must go on" - but that was not to be
Concerning TSMO, I honestly think that this is done to preserve Adam's voice (as the curfew thing should not apply in Mohegan), you can definetly hear that all of the concerts with their killer setlists have taken their toll on his voice - STL was off the charts brilliant, but WWTLF was rather... weak compared to what I have heard thus far (
of course still great and one of the favorites ) and I feel that he wasn't singing with as much force as he used to in TYMD. I'd say he deserves the rest he'll get soon!
For me it is also kind of compromising TSMO for WATC - if you leave the former one out he just sounds mind-boggling on the Champions whereas in MSG when he sang both, the WATC suffered a bit I believe.
Overall I'd rather have them add "Don't stop me now" permanently because another fun song to sing along to would serve the overall atmosphere well. Audience was quite good btw, but LOML and 39' did not receive the amount of singing they deserve.
This was the concert that impressed me the most out of all, he was very playful and his singing was beautiful and rung throughout the entire arena!!! My Mom also loved it and was quite impressed
I'm flying back to Europe in a couple of hours and sincerly hope they decide to tour there in 2015 because should they come to Germany or the UK, I'll be there!!!
