In a loud situation like these concerts, he'd have to "yell" (i.e. talk very loudly) to be heard if his hand signals weren't enough. I'm skeptical of that word also, but for this additional reason. How many times have I heard a student at school say "he/she yelled at me" when it might have been a conversation or exchange that that student didn't like--not yelling. Who knows. Adam is such a sweetie. Everyone loves working with him. Except maybe for the sound techs. I have read repeated mentions of Adam giving the sound tech hell. I have seen videos of him walking off stage to "consult" with the tech, and he didn't look to be the sweetie pie we all know and love. I have even seen a couple of times where he was repeatedly frustrated with the sound and on stage he was "snappish" with the tech. I don't know that he would scream at someone. Not good for the voice. But I think he is totally capable of verbally flailing someone who is fckg up his ability to give a great performance. Everyone has their hot buttons and sound is his. Considering that he CANNOT sing well, that he is gonna go off pitch or strain his voice if he cannot hear correctly, I understand why. adam seems to sing well regardless of sound issues. His inner ears have completely failed him and he stays on pitch. can you find and post any of the videos you are referring to where you say you saw him get snappish with a tech?

I've seen it on his own tour, but never during this Queen tour. There is one video from a few years back where you can see him "giving it" to the sound man. And quite a few where he walks off to the side for a while, then comes back. I was next to the sound guy at Trevor ATT and could only hear the sound man's end of the conversation And as far as being completely "off" due to sound issues, there is that show at a D.C. hotel a few years ago!

I was at that DC/MD outdoor radio-sponsored show....the sound was horrendous. AFL was not pleased. It was bad for all of the performers.

Sorry, I don't have the memory to go back and find a specific video, but s*&@^#r is right, it was not with Queen. I remember one "Shady" performance where he is off key for the first part of the sound. Keeps signaling, then finally shouts "Let me hear my girls!" to the sound tech. Then, there is the GNT show, in Europe I think, where he was waaaaaay off key, could not hear a thing, and finally walked off stage. They finished the song without him. When he came back on he excused the absence as having a coughing jag, but, that was not the truth. He just couldn't sing because he couldn't hear himself. The sound techs have a very difficult job, to be sure. But, as a singer, not being able to hear yourself, or hear the accompaniment is the stuff of nightmares. Really! The worst of the worst because you CANNOT CANNOT CANNOT sing on pitch without it, just as you cannot hit a target blindfolded. It is totally out of your control. There is nothing you can do to make it right.

I was on the lower right side for AC, Section 122 in the middle but on the aisle close to section 123 which is the section directly behind the sound booth. This is the side where the catwalk extends to the back where Adam comes & goes from a lot. I actually saw Adam as he was walking off at one point, don't remember after which song however, right as he past the sound tech booth he made a motion like where he cupped his hands over both his ears & waved them over his ears & I could see him say (I read mouths really well) "I CAN'T HEAR!!" with kind of a pissed look on his face aimed toward the sound booth. So I guess in a way he yelled at the sound tech guys--- he definitely appeared annoyed.
