Regarding that review, I can't help but think if Brian, Roger and Adam did put a new spin on the old music the critics and die hard Queen fans would have crucified them for that! Can't win either way. I think the shows being sold out and the response of the audiences so far speak for themselves. Yup. That.

You wax nostalgic anytime, Talon! Freddie Mercury IS iconic. To me, he and Adam are apples and oranges, so I can separate the two as unique performers. I guess that is why it's easier for me to remain more neutral to the constant comparisons. I'm proud of the true respect Adam holds for Freddie. I think it shows... I love the show and the homage shown to Freddie. That review hurts because of the disrespect shown to Brian and Roger. I hope they all know that the true review is the love shown by the thousands who attend the concerts and not this blinders-on clod. :D Thanks guys for letting me wax a little Don't worry about Bri and Rog - they gave up caring about reviews YEARS ago. They actually used to say that they would be worried if they were getting praise...that would make them stop and wonder what they were doing wrong

Tho' I have to admit this is the first review that went: "Queen. Still a virtuoso spectacle but not as innovative as it was almost 50 years ago. Therefore, it sucked".

Thanks Butterknife for lasts nights glorious stream! Watching the youtubes today made me realize that the visuals when Adam performs only come second to the audio. So I'm thinking about purchasing a pair of binoculars but have never managed to use a telescope, 3D glasses or binoculars since I started wearing bifocals over ten years ago. Do you take off your glasses and just use the binocular magnification? Does anyone know? My dad, wildlife photographer, usually takes his glasses off for binocs, telescopes and cameras. 3D glasses would go over. If you are thinking of getting binocs for the concert I wouldn't bother. I had a pair hanging around my neck the entire time and never felt like I needed. The video screens are stunning.

I'm very near-sighted and am a birder, and always keep my glasses on with binocs. I've had progressive lenses for years now. You just need to find the right spot in your glasses to look through. Practice beforehand! If you're far-sighted without glasses, then yes, you'd probably take them off and just use the binocs. I guess.
