The LATimes review is the first review to acknowledge, IMO, that Adam is a worthy frontman in his own right and that he could easily put Queen into new territory. Yeees, but he does it so annoyingly.  |

Was the reviewer looking to see a "new" Queen? Maybe that will come later but I wasn't under the assumption that this was what this tour was about. What an honor for Adam to be recognized for having the songs sound familiar -- can you imagine if the reviewer had called him out for "singing a song that is someone else's signature piece" and not doing the song justice. Yeah, Adam is singing some songs that Freddie wrote AND they have been done before. No kidding! He can't win.
Once again, I'm sticking with the folks screaming and singing and clapping for MORE!! I was thoroughly entertained and I thought that was the point

He doesn't want a nostalgic concert but this concert is designed, intentionally, for nostalgia. So... And he is firmly in the no Queen without Freddie camp. He at least gave Adam props for way more than an AI contestant. And I do have to say (forgive me) that it feels really awfully lazy for them to continue to do Bo Rap that way, as letting Adam try to rearrange it with the band would have been cool. Nice of him to mention Adam's pov as an artist and liking the couch. I really like Roger singing These Are The Days of Our Lives.
I don't think it's possible to rearrange Bo Rap for live performance and I doubt Brian & Roger would want to do it. Bo Rap if famous with all those layers and layers of choir of the four of them and the music. They will not be able to bring that magic into a live performance. And IMO it's impossible to separate Bo Rap and Freddie, it's his song. The choice either to omit it from the set list or do like they do it now and people coming to this concerts want to hear the famous Bohemian Rhapsody. JMO - It's not a popular opinion I know ..

So Adam and the band get a day of today before Vegas. I wonder if Adam has a barbeque party at his new house and invited all the bands.

Um, dude THERE ISN'T ANY NEW MUSIC. What else do you consider cutting edge? You wanted Adam to do a Lady Gaga-ish paint vomit on stage? (Freddie didn't do that admittedly). You state that there was spectacle. That Brian played virtuositically. So why so jaded? The review is so odd. He first states all the good, then dismisses all that goodness as meh. Weird.
He thinks he knows Queen and Freddie better than Brian, Roger and Freddie, but he doesn't know them AT ALL. He's probably expecting they will perform the new Freddie songs that will be released in September as the new music.
