It just occurred to me how much of an antidote against the difficult, sad, bland or hard times in life Adam has become for me. A migration project that seemed to go all f*cked up: go outside and play Sure Fire Winners very loud on my headphones. Go in energized and make it right. A difficult conversation with somebody about my kid that I had to talk to but who really didn't get it: one thought of all the times that people didn't get Adam and it is ok. The lonely times: pick your youtube. The sudden panic that just got to me when I realized I will be away for the next two weeks, and then I will have just one day to prepare, pack and do everything for my trip to Toronto: a good dose of Lay me Down. And then the countless times that he makes me giggle, or just so proud, slams me with hotness of just completely drowns me in his music. And in a couple of weeks, I am going to see him perform with Queen. I am so very thankful!! And I want to give a big hug to all of you who can't go this time. I do think about you a lot, and I wish I was filthy rich, I would love to take a plane full of you with me.

How emotional Adam was singing this song! It may not have been the most 'perfect' WWLF vocally speaking, but I'm gonna paraphrase a former AI judge "it's like he tore his heart open and left it on the stage"--I felt his pain and it was heart-wrenching.

Adam has never stated in an interview that he took any dance classes (that I have found). However, many auditions for musicals require not only a song, but put the candidates in groups to learn basic choreography (if they pass the initial vocal auditions). If they cannot pick it up or look bad, they don't get a part. I have always assumed since Adam tried so hard to make it and was relatively successful at getting cast, at least in the chorus, that he had some basic training in dance. I was asking because we have some trained dancers on the forum. Just like I can recognize a trained singer because I am one, I thought perhaps our dancers could pick out signs of training in Adam's various performances. I am not a professionally trained dancer, but I have done a lot of ballroom & latin dancing, and amateur competitions, and I am pretty sure someone has taught Adam proper dance moves. And he must've trained and practiced as well. You can see it in the way that he moves. It's his fluidity, the balance, the proper way to do spins, the way his extends his arms to make a good shape. Sometimes a few 'classic' moves from dances I know sneak in as well. I've seen him do salsa, and lately also some poses that look a lot like paso doble. And he posted a short vid in which he did a jive-like dance with ashley some time ago. He positioned his arms just right, definitely looked as if he'd done that before. Doesn't say anything about whether he really had ballroom/latin training, but at the very least he was taught how to dance, and how to dance with somebody as well. I volunteer to try this out one day
