Thanks, Bama. Nice to be part of the "thrustees" club. Grat seeing you, Ann, Dianne-aka-the Bama girls in Vegas. I can't mention everyone I was so glad to see in Vegas, but for long-time PFers, I saw NOANGEL, met Anthrogeek, and Albiku and her lovely boyfriend. Fun times!
GRANDDUTCHESS: please PM me a copy of the brunch photo. I'm going to have lunch with an Atopper who can't go to a concert, and she'd love to see it.

The band? I think he needs a new one like YESTERDAY. Pronto. But what do I know what he wants and needs... he's so emotional, there's kissing and hugging and exchanging glances even during QAL, for crying out loud... ... So even if he shows up after A3 with a new, much better band, or the same band, or, hell, even a new worse one, I'll still be all :'(and watch him speak Klingon with the sound guy with <3 in my eyes;)

I tweeted this link as well, and then I went back to check if it was UK or US eonline. Then I saw that the voting closed on July 6th:))) It is UK eonline, btw:)))

Well, wasn't that band made up of Monte friends and then he brought in Adam after hooking up with him via Zodiac people? I think that's the point that was being made. Citizen Vein were the three musicians who were Madonna's touring band + Adam. Monte was one of the three. Steve Sidelnyk, Tommy Victor and Monte Pittman. Monte heard about Adam in 2004 through mutual friends at The Zodiac Show. They performed together on 3 occasions, there is very little video. They did demo recording sessions which became part of one of the bastard albums. Other bastard album tracks are demos that Adam recorded as a session singer that had nothing to do with Monte.

I'm hoping Tommy gets to play with a regular band full time & not with Adam, that way Tommy fans won't be upset if Adam gets a GREAT guitar player for his future gigs. Adam is in the big leagues now and needs the best of the best to back him up.. The excellence of the band and back up singers is very, very important.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgsyEyKWPMcLenny Kravitz guitarist....

Queen + Adam Lambert’s two-night stint at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel last weekend was both a critical and financial success, grossing nearly $900,000 on a pair of sellouts. Here are the numbers on those shows as well as other recent Vegas concerts courtesy of Billboard’s Boxscore: Artist: Queen + Adam Lambert Venue: The Joint, Hard Rock Hotel Date: July 5-6 Gross sales: $890,970 Attendance/capacity: 5,388/5,388 Shows/sellouts: 2/2... www.reviewjournal.com/columns-blogs/entertainment/see-what-concerts-are-pulling-big-bucksQ3 comment -- this is apparently not true?

IMO, Adam the front man from The Citizen Vein era and Adam the front man now..... in 2014........ two completely different animals. Steve Sidelnyk, Tommy Victor and Monte Pittman would not stand out in front of this AFL. The two eras aren't comparable at all. He was a kid then...... just getting his feet wet as a rock frontman. Yeah, but I was actually trying to say that he would not have become the Adam Lambert of 2014 if he had stayed in Citizen Vein or become the lead singer of some rock band who write their own songs and work together. He knew he had to do his own thing, and I think we can all agree that he made the right choice there. *** Adam is not the best songwriter in the world, but for a beginner, he's actually quite good--he's still kinda new at songwriting and needs to develop that. And of course, since he doesn't write music, he always needs to work with a collaborator, so some of the influence of sound and instrumentation comes from the people he works with. I would love for Brian May and Roger Taylor to write songs for Adam, but who knows what they want. I guess we'll just have to be patient and wait for A3 before we make any sort of conclusions. *** And, no--of course I don't think Adam is worried about anyone overshadowing him: no matter how great a musician, nobody could do that now, as evidenced by the Q+AL shows. I just meant to say: Adam doesn't need anything or anyone other than himself on stage, with just that voice and personality, to draw in crowds. I bet no one ever said: I wanna go hear Adam's band play at the concert--audiences go to his concerts to hear Adam Lambert sing. Maybe he does need a better band to back him up, I'm not an expert on bands and I haven't seen all the concerts so I don't know how bad or good his band is, but from what I have seen, I never noticed any major fuckups, and - personally - I couldn't care less who is behind him, cause my focus is always on Adam's performance. Adam is not really new to songwriting and I like some of his early dance-pop music (2004-2014 is over 10 years) -- "Crawl Through Fire", "Pop Goes The Camera", "Glamorize", "the Circle"...etc. are all better than BTIKM and NCOE. Adam Lambert and Citizen Vein at Cat Club Hollywood youtu.be/woJM08fl5CUHe has come a long, long way!!
