Roddy Chong (on Facebook)
ADAM LAMBERT: Did a shockingly great job as lead singer and front man for Queen. I really didn't know anything about this guy. Awesome to see him earn the approval of the audience song by song. I see a concert about once a week and this was by far my favorite show this year. So inspiring. — at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
I hadn't thought too much about this until I saw it. The additional emotional energy that Adam needs night after night to handle this. I don't mean to overplay it, but it must affect him. Someone mentioned they thought the audiences were probably one-third Adam fans, two-thirds Queen fans. He's used to walking on stage and being bombarded by Glambert love. Here he must sense everything from hesitation to judgement. Or maybe he's completely unfazed and it has no real impact whatsoever. We'll never know for sure, unless he tells us.
On Britney .... I feel very sorry for that girl, she's never been a vocal diva, but she sounds medicated to me. She has the feel of being like a performing seal now, heart not in it, just going through the motions.

Or if you know which thread/page in Atop...awesome.

Not sure who was looking for you tube of the voice oz dude Frank singing "we are the champions" on last weeks episode... here you go (and no he didn't improve from his attempt at Adam's If I had You). I post with a warning - listen at your own risk and have Adam vid lined up to cleanse your ears after. To quote Randy Jackson... that was kind of pitchy dawg. So of course the judges loved it (and do goes this season of the show). www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YmAISDp6io

Maybe at first, but by now he must know that just about everyone will be in the palm of his hand by the second or third song - or maybe the second or third note... It's a beautiful thing...

Added the Curtain up/down on the concerts I could remember, hoping you all fill in on others and make notes on Houston if we get a live stream or twitter comments. Calgary "have some soul" comment during call and response Boob flasher Dr. Bri head on Adam shoulder during bow Brian May quote “Ladies and Gentlemen….seriously…one of the best rock and roll singers in the world!”
Just remembered something unique re Calgary.Brian and Roger ( and maybe the other band members)...were "White Hatted" and Brian/Roger wore the white cowboy hats while performing (start of the band's introductions on the thrust 42:00) and got the crowd Yahoo'in.... in cowboy country. Thanks, I'm just going to put them down as Cowboy hats for now since Rufus was wearing a black one. If we get more cowboy hats we can adjust. Adding the NASA caps for tonight. eta- fixed quotes

Honestly, been to 3 shows and have not seen that Adam has to win anyone over. Perhaps one or 2 reviewers, but not the fans. The Queen fans that go, are there to enjoy it. The roar from the crowd is deafening before the curtain even goes up. And when Adam walks out, it is crazy!

If they had Adam in front of them singing it they would probably just melt into puddles of incoherence on the floor. LOL
